I apply a thin layer as the last step at night, and I wake up with noticeably softer, calmer skin and less dry patches. It has a light fragrance (not overpowering), and it has not irritated my skin so far. I would not call it a miracle product, but it is a reliable overnight hydrator, especially when my skin feels a bit dehydrated. The tub lasts a long time as you do not need much.
