I have insanely oily hair. Like I have to wash it every single day (yes, I even tried "training" my hair). With all the other shampoos I've tried, my hair would still get flat and oily by the end of the day. Using this shampoo for the first time gave me incredible results immediately after use. For starters, when I usually get out of the shower after washing my hair, my hair (the roots of it, more specifically) still lay flat. After I used this shampoo, my roots actually sprung UP after washing? What?? Like there was immediate volume and definition. I could actually see my scalp. Pictures included. After waking up the next morning, my hair was so soft and shiny. Even my scalp! It wasn't the "grease" shine that I usually get, but a genuine light and airy shine that you see in the hair commercials. I've started pairing this with their signature shampoo and conditioner, since you definitely don't want to use clarifying shampoo everyday. But I've started using about once or twice a week, and it's been amazing. A good tip I can recommend is if you don't want this shampoo to dry out your ends, apply a layer of conditioner to your ends first, and then shampoo your scalp. That way your ends are "protected" and aren't stripped. Overall very, very satisfied with the results and will have to buy this forever now 🤣.

This product is great. With going to the gym and always having dry shampoo in my hair, this is a nice reset. Doesn’t dry out my hair but feels like it’s totally clean. The price is great too! Would recommend for the price point and performance. Also smells nice :)

I love this as a clarifying shampoo and conditioner few times a month to get rid of excess product or before I put a treatment on my hair (Keratin home treatment, etc) First, the bottle is great because you can actually see how much left is in it. The shampoo itself smells clean and fresh, not overly scented. You do not need much. (and I have thick curly hair). This is great after build up of product such as hair spray, smoothing agents, heat protection, etc. I usually wash twice before I put conditioner on or a hair treatment. The clarifying shampoo helps the conditioners. etc absorb more . It is also a great shampoo to use after swimming, and my hair feels nice and soft. This is the best clarifying shampoo I have ever used!

I love that after washing my hair with this shampoo my hair feels so shiny and smooth. So clean idk if you can see it in the picture but this is a day after washing it with the shampoo which is once a week for me. As of now I had hair loss and I just went to get a haircut and my hairstylist said he felt my hair fuller the only different thing I have changed is this shampoo once a week and then the rest of the week I wash it with my Garnier fructis shampoo. Since it has been so hot here in Texas I have been washing my hair daily I can't stand sweaty hair and plus my hair is so oily from my scalp so this shampoo gets a thumbs up for me. It is a little drying but I do use a thick conditioner in my ends only when I use the clarifying shampoo just like any clarifying shampoo 😅. I love the smell it smells fresh and clean. The price is good I don't use it often but when I feel like my scalp needs a little more than just shampoo I go ahead and use it. I would say every hair is different but trying it is worth it.

I've been looking for a good smelling clarifying shampoo for awhile, but everything is sulfate free these days which ticks me off. I WANT sulfates in my shampoo, that's what makes them actually CLEAN your hair, and all these people complaining about them are ruining it for the rest of us. That being said, this has sulfates and it does a great job. My hair was literally squeaky clean when I was done shampooing it. It comes in what I think is cute, simple packaging, although the bottle is VERY flimsy plastic-----in fact, hey Amazon, please don't ship my liquid items just thrown into a bag with other items without even a piece of tape to keep the lid on. I am SO surprised this did not spill all over the place. The smell is very mild, but it actually smells good, exactly like shampoo should smell which is fresh and clean. I'm sick of all these smelly shampoos that are just perfume in a bottle.

This is the only shampoo that I've used for this long and I can't imagine a reason I'd change. I colored my hair for years and decided at 40 to let the (very early) gray have its way. It grew out so fine and undamaged that many of the hydrating and conditioning shampoos of the past just made my hair heavy and greasy. Enter Kristin Ess Clarifying..... My hair is always clean and clear of deposits that other shampoos were leaving. My gray hair stays gray and doesn't get a big buildup of yellow or brass that I see many natural grays complain about. It lathers up well and I can always tell where it is and is not in my hair. I have long hair, but don't have to use a ton to get it to clean my whole head. My hair always feels so silky and clean after washing. If I need to, I'll add a leave-in conditioner after I wash or use a once a week mask to add some moisture, but living in the deep south usually means I'm all good in that category.

Really strips everything from your hair. Haven't noticed much for my scalp though.

I have used other clarifying shampoos in the past. This is, by far, the best. It has a pleasant, fresh scent, and my hair is squeaky clean after washing. It left my hair soft and shiny. I will definitely be using this from now on.

Must apply for conditions. If not, after wash, feel dry and rough.

This shampoo left my hair feeling incredibly clean without stripping it and leaving it feeling dry. I highly recommend this shampoo and will be purchasing again and again and again!

Really impressed, I have an oily scalp (sometimes it can start getting greasy by the end of the day again) washed my hair Saturday morning, was still really good on Sunday, it's now Monday and I will only have to put the smallest amount of dry shampoo on (usually would have to use loads of I left it this long) not sure I'll use it for every wash as from the comments it can end up leaving your hair rather dry, but going to try once every two weeks and then use the Redken Amino mint shampoo in between that I've just also bought. I use the dark blue Redken extreme conditioner as I have dry ends with it being dyed and works perfectly in combo with them both!

After using tones of shampoos for my oily hair I found this shampoo very helpful
