Swea Pea & Lilli Poly Cotton Christening Short Set with Basket Weave Vest and Hat

I researched many different outfits for my almost 3 month son for his baptism. I came across this and purchased for it seemed simple but classic and not satin like a lot of the other outfits (yay!). I got the 3-6 month size (my son is just over 12 lbs and 23 inches long - so I thought that size would be ideal.) also I wanted him to wear part of it for an upcoming wedding as well in a few months. I received the items via UPS in a soft durable plastic bag (not box). Which was fine, but I was scared something might of torn, but everything looked to be okay.The vest was very durable with nice large buttons and so cute. The shirt had some threading issues on the buttons (I tried to unbutton a few of them and the thread would be wrapped around them from the slit part, so I had to be careful not to rip the buttons off). But the shirt material and pant material seemed very durable. (collar stiff, etc). The shorts themselves were as everyone else stated, very large (seemed to be more of a 6-9 months size). However, I did roll them up twice from the waist and the vest hide the roll and was just fine. The hat was as cute as could be! My boy didn't mind wearing it at all (nice elastic to stay on snugly). The only real negative was the bow tie. The clasp didn't work on one side. I quickly called the company/seller's customer service # (on the Amazon order page) and they called the manufacturer while I was on the phone to send a new bow tie out right away. (for the baptism was 1 week away!). They were great! I was so glad I didn't have to return the whole outfit just for one issue. I just hope that the bow tie does indeed arrive on time. (I'm sure it will)Overall I really like the outfit, and the seller's customer service was outstanding. I'm happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a baptism outfit for my son and many of the local stores only had long sleeve options. I found this a few weeks before the baptism and since it was short sleeve, I decided it was better option. I'm glad I made the switch. It's well made-the shorts have an elastic band all the way around, the shirt buttons all the way down, the vest is a separate piece so it was easy to get on and off. We ended up not using the hat, but it was cute as well. The bow tie just clips on at the end so you can use any or all the pieces (or take them off when your child freaks out over one/all of the pieces).My son is tall for his age and was nearly 5 months on his baptism. I bought the 6-12 months thinking that a little big was better than a little small. I'm glad I went with the larger size. There's no way this would fit a 12 month old unless they're incredibly tiny. I was getting ready to baptize my THIRD godchild (yes, I'm that amazing that 3 sets of parents have entrusted me with this responsibility) and, as it is custom in the hispanic culture for the godmother to purchase the baptism outfit, mommy and I went on a baptismal shopping extravaganza. For those of you that don't know, these outfits can be rather pricey. Seeing as I spoil these children plenty as it is, I did not want to bust the bank on this purchase. So after mommy and I were sweaty after a day of running around with a toddler and a 7 month old, one of us had the brilliant idea of checking amazon.I am an avid Amazon purchaser and prime member; however, never in a million years would I have ever thought I could find a baptism outfit there. Well, I found this cute little number and after reading reviews, figured it was worth a shot and defintely worth the price. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the outfit (2 days later....thank you AmazonPrime!) and saw it was actually good quality. We saw plenty of outfits that were 2 or 3 times the price that didn't even come close to the quality. It fit him perfectly and he look simply cherubic on his special day. So did his godmother, I might add.

I really stressed over buying this outfit in terms of size and quality. However, I was overall very satisfied.Size: my son at the time was 3.5 months, but weighed about 16 lbs and was 26'' tall. I bought a 12-18 month outfit, based on the other reviews. The shirt, vest and hat fit perfectly. The shorts were a bit big, but I was able to pull them up (the vest covered up the fact the shorts were up so high!) and it was fine. I am not sure what would've happened if I bought a smaller size, but I like that he will be able to wear these again potentially in future.Quality: As I thought, the fabric is pretty rough and almost see-through. I was afraid to even wash before wearing. However, I did wash on gentle after he wore the outfit, and it held up fine.The hat is super cute if you want a page-boy look (not bonnet). The tie is a little hard to get on, but the outfit overall is adorable!

We really wanted this outfit to work but sadly it's too large on our 7 week old son. We intended to buy it for him to wear in his baptism but the shorts are almost at his ankle. He's a petite baby though, at 9.6 lbs and 21 inches.

See through. Great for short time baptism. Hat isn’t great. Weaved vest is cute. Clip on bow tie is perfect.

My son is going on 8 weeks old and had his baptism this past Sunday. I originally followed the sizing listed and bought a 3-6 month outfit. He is over 12 lbs and 23 1/2 inches long. The outfit came and he was swimming in it! It was WAY too big to even attempt to use it. I ended up returning that one and buying the 0-3 month, which fit somewhat decent. The shorts are still very big however like other reviewers we just pulled them up higher. Also we had to move the top button in order to close the neck of the shirt. The tie also didn't seem to fit very well with the collar but we were able to get it on. Overall the outfit is super adorable and I'm glad we got it but definitely don't listen to the sizing listed on Amazon.
