Simpsons Level Pack - LEGO Dimensions

It's a lego set -- replacement for the one my kiddo stole from me :)

It came in a timely manner and in great condition! My nephew is going to be beside himself for this was his top request for Christmas!

I'm not afraid to admit it - when I saw this, I thought it was going to be, well, stupid. I mean, I didn't really think The Simpsons translated very well into LEGO, let alone as part of Dimensions. And I was wrong. When playing through the main game, one of the first worlds you hit is Springfield, and that just piqued my interest in the level pack. I'll say that while the main game didn't really quite capture the spirit of The Simpsons, this level pack certainly does. It's a short level, and a reasonable play through (meaning you aren't looking for every little thing) will be about 30-45 minutes. But of course you also gain access to the hub world where you can go on other adventures, and that adds quite a bit to the fun. More to the point, it's clear the designers really wanted to keep this pack faithful to the little thing that make The Simpsons what it is. You have your usual Homerisms. You have weird characters acting in character. This is a rare thing, but I actually did feel myself getting immersed in the game (which is kind of atypical for a LEGO game in general). Certainly, Homer gives you some abilities that are useful in the game at large, and the vehicle/gadget gives you value too. So frankly, this is one of those things that may look a little out of place, but trust me...it does add value to LEGO Dimensions (especially if you're a Simpsons fan) and is worth the add.

My family and I really enjoyed this level pack. It is short, as most level packs, but this one was quite entertaining. Simpsons fans will definitely indulge into the open world mode, once the level is completed. The details are spot on, and Lego really made the best effort to stay true to all the elements as seen in the televised series. After playing this level, Lego sure have their work cut out for them, they really need to give this line a video game. I hope someday they give us a standalone game for many of these properties, instead of repeating the DC and Marvel universes.

The legos in this set are pretty sweet, the designers did a great job of shrinking down Homer's car into a small form factor. The TV is cool although not very useful in game, it's mandatory in the story mission that comes with the pack but after that, once you get another character/vehicle that can blow up silver legos, you'll likely never use it again. The alternate builds for the car and tv are weird, but so are most of the alternate builds in Lego Dimesions. The story mission itself is actually really fun, it uses the story of a classic Simpsons Episode as a framework for the exploration. I was not expecting it to be so much fun.

I got this pack along with the other 5 level packs: Back to the Future, Dr. Who, Portal 2, Midway Retro Gamer packs. The Simpson level pack is the most visually stunning pack of them all. The faithful rendition of the Simpson's home as the starting point, down to the neighborhood, and to the rest of the Springfield- all in a glorious cartoon-esque visual! Every corner is oozing with characters and small details that you would see on the TV show. Homer uses his burping technique to shatter windows to access to new areas and secret items. And the portion where he's eating the donuts, hilarious! There is a side-scrolling section, 3rd person with the camera behind the shoulder section, and the typical overhead third person section. I purchased this in addition to the starter pack for my son's birthday. Instructions for assembly are easy to follow and my son very much enjoys this. Great purchase!

Muy buen producto, de gran calidad como lo es LEGO y a 90 me parece un excelente precio. Altamente recomendado ya que se pueden armar diferentes figuras como por ejemplo el señor barredora y un robot de Homero.

Obtuve este articulo a sólo $49 pesos en base a una excelente oferta de parte de Amazon, este sin duda es un excelente articulo de colección para todo fan de Legó en general, en Lego Dimensions desbloqueas unos niveles de los simpson bastante divertidos, el empaque contiene piezas para armar el carro de Homero al igual que su TV y en muchas cosas mas. El empaque de Amazon venia muy bien cuidado y protegido, del tiempo de entrega debo decir que fue muy rápido, lo ordene un Lunes y me llego el Miércoles. Definitivamente seguiré comprando en Amazon
