Perfect
I am so glad I went with Japanese steel. This particular model is amazingly lightweight and incredibly sharp. Best knives I’ve ever owned.

Great knife but small two issues
Purchased this knife from a different seller because of availability at the time. Beautiful knife and excellently packaged. Very light, great for pinch grip allowing excellent control. Extremely sharp. But, compared to my scalloped santoku knife, cutting effort is noticeably higher because wetter vegetables like onions, for example, stick/suction to the blade slowing down your cutting stroke. Cutting is much easier w drier vegetables. The other issue is finding a sharpener that will maintain the bevel angle to keep the knife razor sharp. It seems like most sharpeners sharpen at a different angle which will change the production bevel and make the knife not cut as easily. Still, this is an excellent knife.

So far so good!
Light on the hand, Extremely sharp and did i mention beautiful? My first Nakiri after buying countless of Western style chef knives, and for the countless times i chop and prep for the Line, it’s been extremely reliable so far.
