These are the best spices that I have ever used! I read some of the other reviews that expressed disappointment that the spices are packaged in a tin can and inside of a bag. Trust me, these are not the type of spices that come packaged in glass and only look nice on your kitchen spice rack. I have plenty of those that end up collecting dust and eventually in the trash because I really don't know what to do with them. These are still cute and I actually really like the tin cans and their uniqueness to this brand. If you are someone who loves to cook (chefs and home cooks), these spices will not last very long. You only need to pull the bags out and shake them out of the bag or add a pinch with your fingers. These spices are the best and have taken my meals to another level! They are so fresh and flavorful. I simply love them and I am ordering more.

Absolutely blown away by how much we love these. I had been wanting to try a set from Spicewalla after I think I saw their spices in a gift guide in Bon Appetit, so when I saw them on Amazon with prime shipping I hit buy now and our set was here in less than two days. These spices smell so potent and super fresh and the flavors pack so much punch. My husband and I went vegetarian this year and I was looking for seasoning to spice things up, I know carne asada is traditionally for meat dishes but the spicewalla mix makes next level tofu and seitan. I will be purchasing this set for my father, I think it’s a great gift for any cooking enthusiasts. Debating on if I should get their middle eastern spices next or one of their big collections. Could not be more pleased.

I purchased this set at a discount on Prime Day, and though I don't normally use pre-made spice blends in my cooking, these have been fun to try. The green one is my favorite. They smell and taste fresh, and the containers are very full but small. I have a large family, so we won't get very many meals out of this set. This set would make a nice gift, but I'm not sure I'd pay full price for these for my own use.

These spices smelled delicious from the moment I took them out of the box! I’m not just using them for Taco Tuesday... I cook at home at 4-6 nights a week and these give a great pop of flavor to simple things like baked chicken to throw on a salad, or fish to quickly cook on the grill. There’s a great depth of flavor that is so much easier to achieve when I don’t have the time to slow cook and no more need to make my own spice mixes! My mother in law, who is very spice sensitive, even likes when I cook with these. They are well packaged, stand out on a spice shelf, and I certainly plan to add more Spicewalla to my seasoning collection!

I'm a recent vegan convert, and in my efforts to feed family as well as myself, I've been trying meat substitutes in various dishes. TVP taco meat, using these spices, turned out sooo well that even the kids had no comments other than asking for seconds. The tacos just tasted and smelled so authentic - as if I had bought them rather than made them out of "fake" food, and if you knew my cooking you'd understand; if Spicewalla can make my cooking seem great, you know this stuff is capital G Good.

Was looking for a good quality Taco Seasoning mix with fillers like 'herbs' and 'spices' vs miscellaneous chemicals as my Daughter is Celiac. Came across Spicewalla and sifted through ingredient listing - to my pleasant surprise. Just tried last night and it was FABULOUS! Actually tried two of the three, as a.) I couldn't decide which one to use, so while smelling and transferring from bags into tins (they were overflowing!); b.) used what i couldn't fit into tins into the meat. Delicious. Will definitely be buying again. Well done Chefs!!!

I bought a sampler set of spices and they were so great I bought another set. I then bought a sampler set for my daughter who also bought her own set with larger tins. These spices are spectacular! Super fresh and already blended for an easy meal. This would make a fantastic gift to a new cook or an old cook.
