For the price.....
**update**My son had ridden this bicycle daily for a month now! No problems whatsoever! Great bike, great price!Received the bike yesterday, boxed nicely, no damage. Went together easily. A few minor adjustments to brakes and derailleur were all that was needed. Son rode for about an hour yesterday. Shifting is as smooth as I would expect for a bike this price. No problems. Son thinks it's great and looks really cool. Remember this bike is priced well under $200. Some of these reviews are comparing to bikes that would be priced $350 and up. I will update after he rides more.

Cheapest parts possible on a bike?
Overall, not really that surprised. This is the kind of bike that's usually sold in Walmart, as they typically have a reputation for being sold already broken or close to it. Still ended up being disappointed when It only lasted for a few rides. The cassette/freewheel ended up breaking and needed to be replaced at a shop since I lacked the specialized tool. All the bearings in both rims are barely greased and most of them are dry. Saddle felt horrible and had to replace that to even make riding it bearable. And now I'm about to start looking at replacing the PLASTIC brake levers since one of them is already stripped and don't feel like having a loose tension nut.If you're looking for just a bike in general, there are cheaper options out there that don't cheap out this hard on their components. To veteran cyclists that expect this kind of thing.... I'd look elsewhere, since I have had bikes like this in the past that lasted much longer. Only giving this 2 stars because it didn't turn to dust the instant I unboxed the frame.

Good deal.
Good bike for the money. Attaching Handle bar, front tire, seat, and pedals was all that was required to have a full ride. BUT also needed a bit of adjustment with derailleurs and brakes, which is to be expected on a bike shipped in a box. If you are not prepared to put the bike together as well as do some adjusting to tune it up, pay someone to do it.Nine out of ten negative reviews I see on this bike can be chalked up to damage from shipper or those who are not prepared to do some average mechanical work on a bike. Again, this bike comes shipped in a box and 90% put together. A bicycle shop will be able to sell you a fully assembled and tuned bike.Rides smooth, feels solid, gears and brakes engage well for a sub $200 bike. If you are expecting an $800 bike, you'll be disappointed. The front suspension to me is not stiff enough. I'm 5'8" and 165 lbs. Wish that could be adjusted. If so, I'd give it 5 stars.

Fantastic bike. Would recommend and buy again.
It is an excellent bike for the price. No problems what so ever. I was skeptical about buying because of the bad reviews, but the only way I see any problems with this bike is if you don't know how to assemble a bicycle. It rides smooth, the brakes are great, and it's the perfect weight and size.

Great bike!
Despite the negative review, I took the risk and purchased the bike for my son as this was the cheapest aluminum frame 24" mountain bike I could find. The bike arrived quickly and in fine condition. Best of all, the bike was light and performed as good as a much more expensive bike. I did have to fine tune the gears and brakes, but this was expected as it had to be assembled which took about 30 minutes.I was hesitant about purchasing this bike due to the negative review, but I'm quite happy I took the risk. I see that the bike only has one review, which is probably due to potential buyers veering away by the negative review. This is unfortunate since the negative aspect of the review had nothing to do with the bike itself. I've also had one or two bad shipment experiences in the past. Sooner or later everyone will run into this issue as no shipping company is perfect. If someone takes the time to write a product review, it should be about the product itself and for the benefit of others.I've decided to leave this review in the hope that it would help those dads out there who are also looking for a nice bike for their sons like I was.

cheap bike $100 too much
First thing is you get what you pay for. I put bike together and noticed the front wheel was bent so i had to take to a bike shop to fix. They fixed bike and stated this is a very cheap bike and to be careful they pointed out some things to watch out for. Because of this damn virus he couldn't go into details. but i later went home and looked it up. The brakes levers are made of shinny plastic make sure you dont drop bike or they will break. changing gears takes some strength. The tires are cheap so be prepared for flats. I Have rode bike over 120 miles so far and i think its on its last leg. save a couple hundred more dollars and get a decent bike

Solid bike ruined by plastic derailleur and difficult shifters
The derailleur (which is mostly plastic) was not properly mounted. I found the loose tension clip in the box after assembly and didn't know what it was to. On the first ride we were trying the way too stiff twist shifters and the assembly popped off to be eaten by the rear gears. Now I know where the tension clip was supposed to go, but the derailleur is too damaged to use.No this isn't an expensive bike, but I expected slightly better than all-plastic derailleur mounts. I don't like the shifters for little hands at all, but the rest of the parts honestly seem solid. I will repair and update this review later.

good bike for children
This bike looks nice and rides well. It is not very difficult to put different part together. But it is a little small for a adult to ride.

Junk
After my 90 pound boy took this bike out for a ride the front wheel is all warped, what a piece of junk,I live in a remote area where I might as well throw this bike in the garbage and just order a new better bike

OK, could be better.
Arrived 2 weeks late in a damaged box. Front wheel so bent its unusable and the end plate on the front derailleur was cracked (or maybe this happened the first time I rode it?? still not good) so instead of stopping the chain, the chain will wedge itself in the crack.Brakes and shifters are what you'd expect on a low end bike. The frame is very nice and the rear suspension works very well.Front suspension is not ajustable and way too soft.I do really like this frame though..

A good cheap bike
Get this if you're on a budget and can only settle for brand new.
