Why Didn't I Come To Amazon 1st?!
After going through 3 store bought cups, and about two weeks of complaint on the football field, I decided to hit up the Amazon Reviews. As usual, not disappointed. My 8 year old son is 64 lbs and 53 in. Build wise he looks tall and slim, but is average on the growth curve Doctors use (50th percentile). Youth-regular worked great. It was a wee-bit loose out of the package, still would have worked, but I found after a good dry the material shrunk a bit. Fitted him perfect after that. Underwear aside, I would buy this again just for the cup design. I was very impressed with the soft flex material on the sides. The first thing little man use to do after practice was take out his cup. I do not miss the next day game of finding which room/vehicle/black-hole he left the cup in. He comfortably wears this until he comes in the house to change and shower. Great product and totally worth it.

The reviews helped me to purchase briefs with flex cup
I'm a mom and have never experienced a cup. My three boys needed them for sparring in their martial arts class. I reviewed many products, and decided on this over a jock strap/cup. I especially appreciate the review of a father who shared his experience with the cup; how he discovered that the tip of the cup needs to go all the way down into the pocket in order to fit comfortably. All the way down. And it's true! My boys didn't have their cups all the way down and one complained that he was very uncomfortable. I was relieved to find that the tip of the cup was not all the way down. After refitting the cup, he found it very tolerable/comfortable for having to wear something he was not used to wearing. The other two did not really complain, but when I fixed theirs too, they both said that it was much better. After that they enjoyed running around the house thumping at each other yelling, "cup check!" just like their older peers do in their sparring classes, lol!My boys are all 11 and are thin, one very thin at 65lbs., and the other two around 75lbs. We got the large size and there is room to grow. I was worried that if they were a little big that the cup wouldn't fit right, but that wasn't the case. The fit very comfortably even with some looseness in the bum and waist.I will be sticking with this product line for sure!

Great quality, ease of use is fantastic, sizing of cup to underwear is not the best.
These run a bit large...not the underwear, they fit my son perfectly. The cup that is included for this size is really too big (it would fit a tween best but then the underwear would be too small). Not well matched. As far as quality, that is easily 5 Stars. Fit, I would give the cup 3 because it really is too big. Underwear, 5 stars...well made, very comfortable (according to my son). Would be good to have a choice of cup size to go with underwear. I really like the fit of these, they don't ride up, no bunching, very soft, and the ease of use for an 8 yr old is fantastic!

Great cup size and undie fit
My son is 7 and picky! I originally bought him a universal size 7-12 boxer brief from sports authority, having a feeling it was going to be too big. Well it was, like way too big! The cup was huge and it bugged him so much he refused to even wear it. Not to mention the boxer brief cut in general was to big, he's really skinny and tall. I found this McDavid brand on Amazon and after reading the reviews decided to buy. I did notice that most reviews show parents buying the Large size for their 7yr olds but I bought the regular, and they fit him perfect! He's skinny with a small waist, I usually have the adjustable waist tied all the way in on his jeans. By next year he'll definitely need the bigger size, but If your child is skinny, tall or small framed and needs a comfortable cup to wear immediately, buy the regular size. They're snug enough to keep the cup in place but not too tight to the point of being uncomfortable.

The perfect fit
We ordered a regular size for our 9 year old. He has been uncomfortable with other products, and has not been willing to wear them, but this brief is AWESOME! It fit perfectly, is made of a very soft material, and according to our son, "stayed where it was supposed to." The cup is solid, but has some pliability in the sides, so it moves with him and does not pinch. He didn't adjust himself once! Love it and plan to purchase another.

Size guide doesn’t match the sizes
We ordered a size large based on the size guide because the medium we ordered first didn’t fit. When the large arrived it was the same size as the medium. We had to order an XL to actually get the size that the size guide says is size large.

A little tight for my 90 pound 2nd grader
My son is taking after his father and is pretty big for his age. He is about 90 lbs and is almost 5 foot tall he is a solid, sturdy little boy. In jeans he wears a 12 husky. While all the other mom's were ordering peewees I was looking for something a little bigger. I really wanted a pair of undies with the special pocket because neither my husband or I (or my son) wanted to have to help him figure out how to put his cup on. The waistband on these were a little snug on him. The legs fit well and we had no problems with the cup moving. He is able to wear these ones for this baseball season but I think that I am going to have to get bigger ones for next year. I don't think I will be able to fit him into youths for much longer.

Perfect for youth
Bought this for my average sized 9 1/2yr old for baseball. His youth league requires all players to wear a cup. I bought the regular size and they fit well with a small bit of room to grow. He likes them b/c they fit like regular underwear and the cup fit securely in the brief. He has worn them with regular underneath and alone. Both ways they are comfortable and the cup stays in place. The performance brief is made of cotton and feels identical to regular brief underpants. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
