HBC Rotary Hand Spreader for Lawn and Garden

May be OK for grass seed, but granular fertilizer jams it immediately. The problem is the cheap plastic slider that controls the amount of product to spread. Too much slop. Fertilizer get stuck between the hopper feeder hole and the rotating assembly (first photo). Even after I did a quick fix with a couple of washers to reduce the slop, it is still very hard to distribute fertilizer. (second photo). Very hard to hold with a full hopper of fertilizer. Slider for selecting amount of feed is useless with more than a cup or two of fertilizer. Better off spreading it by hand.Made in Taiwan of plastic and poor design. Wasted $30 for using it with fertilizer. Perhaps will work with grass seed later this year.I'm not going to return because I can still use it reseed the lawn.

Spreader jams up when half full of grass seed.

It's light weight and spreads fine at first, but the rotary handle got stuck a couple of times making it hard to evenly spread the lawn fertilizer.

Works good with grass seed, had some issues using fertilizer. Wanted to jam up the dispenser. Have to take in consideration all the parts are plastic
