I drink espresso and Americanos only, so flavor really matters to me — and these beans deliver big time. From the moment I opened the bag, the aroma was incredible. Good beans. Taste good. Pairs well with creamer or honey. Very hearty black. Robust flavor. Quality of the bean is good. Not oily. Medium roasted.

I'm not a fan of bitter coffees. I like the deep rich flavor that a dark roast can give, but it is sometimes hard to find without bitterness. I saw the flavor profile and the notes of chocolate, molasses and walnut and I was all in. I checked the date of expiration upon arrival as previous reviews indicated an issue with expired bags, but mine was expiring in July 15, 2026. I opened the bag and the beans were a good color, slightly oily, not greasy. I vacuum sealed 8 ounce portions and froze them, keeping one fresh bag in the fridge for grinding in the morning. The first week, I used the beans in my espresso machine to make a latte with 2 double shots of this dark roast artisan blend, with 8 ounces of protein milk, collagen, cinnamon and vanilla and it was delicious. No bitterness at all. We recently were gifted a pour over coffee setup to try, so I ground a 2 cup portion, 4 rounded Tbs of beans, using the medium fine setting, heated the pour over kettle to 205, bloomed the grounds, then poured. I steamed the same protein milk concoction and used one cup of coffee, 8 ounces to the 8 ounces of steamed milk and it was delicious. I could taste the coffee notes in this cup vs. the espresso grind. I also noticed that within half an hour, I was really feeling the caffeine in the coffee, which I have not experienced using it in my espresso machine. I really like using this for pour over coffee. If you prepare it well, this is great coffee! I highly recommend it.

This coffee is wonderful! It has a smooth, rich, and bold taste, which is perfect for me. The quality of the beans are top notch, which is very impotence to me since I suffer from histamine intolerance. I also notice less digestive issues than with regular coffee. The fact that it is mold and mycotoxin free allows me to enjoy coffee again!

This is my second Fresh Roasted coffee. The first was excellent. When I opened this bag, I wasn’t encouraged that this was a good purchase. It reminded me of stale store bought $1 a pound mass produced coffee. The luxurious cost of this coffee, I feel o should be blown away by it. Like if you buy a Ferrari. If you buy a Ferrari it should drive, feel and smell like a Ferrari, it should not drive, feel and smell like a 1976 Datsun. From the moment I opened the bag I was disappointed. The beans looked like great beans. Like they should have a different smell and I certainly paid a premium for them, I ground them and brewed them up just like I do all the coffees I have tried and reviewed. Something magical happened in between the bag opening and the grinding and then the brewing. The taste was nothing like the smell inside the bag. It was an incredibly flavorful coffee. The end result was a really good cup of joe. This took me by surprise. Ultimately the coffee turned out great and not a waste as I initially thought. 1 star off because a premium coffee carrying a Ferrari price, should not just shock my wallet, it should wow my taste buds and my nose and in that this coffee failed one part of that. Might be better smelling next bag but this one, fell two stars short of perfect. Price, ouch, initial open bag aroma, aye carumba, ultimate taste, great, 3 stars.

This is our go-to coffee. I love the whole bean Italian roast, and even though my wife usually prefers a lighter coffee, she loves this one as much as I do. It is smooth, full of flavor, and not bitter at all. We have tried other roasts from the same brand, but this Italian roast is our personal favorite. We keep re-ordering it because it consistently tastes great and is perfect for brewing at home. On top of that, it is a great value for the quality you get. If you like a rich, flavorful coffee that is not overpowering, this Italian roast is hard to beat.
