A very cost effective set of watercolor paints. These provide clear, bright colors, essentially identical to high quality paints from Daniel Smith, Winsor Newton, etc. There is a generous amount of paint and they mix well. Why so inexpensive? Maybe they are more prone to fading over time? But they are a great way to get into professional watercolor painting using paints that are superior to the sets designed for kids and schools. I'm a beginner so read this with that in mind. The colors are very vibrant and easy to apply and mix. I was surprised, though, to find a sheen on some of my paintings in areas with heavier paint application. Again, I'm a beginner, so that may be normal. I agree with another reviewer that the brown is more of a red/rust brown and couldn't be used as is, but adding black remedied that for me.

The colors are amazing and very pigmented. I cannot wait to start on my next project.
