Acer Predator XB273GX 27 Inch Full HD Gaming Monitor (IPS Panel, G-Sync Compatible, 240 Hz, 1 ms, HDR 400, DP, HDMI, Height-adjustable, Black)

Bought this as an upgrade from my bog-standard 60hz monitor. I have a laptop with 120hz screen, and I was missing the high refresh rate on my desktop. This monitor even blows my 120hz screen out of the water. Brightness and colours are good, nothing cinema-grade, but for gaming, it's amazing. Looks good for casual netflix too of course. 144hz is smooth as butter, response time may as well be instant, FPS games feel so much more natural and enjoyable. G-sync is a nice addition too, in Modern Warfare I sometimes dip below 144fps but I don't even notice it. I've stopped looking at my fps counter. Feels very sturdy, the stand is well-made and allows height adjustment which is nice. Bezels are pretty thin. Decent selection of ports on the back, USB hub on the side is a nice addition too. Menus are navigated with a joystick which is so much better than the regular row of buttons on most monitors. I bought this after researching many options at this price point, and I'm extremely happy with my choice. I was debating going for 1440p, but if you're usually playing high-paced FPS like me, 1080p is more than enough anyways. Good balance between sharpness and performance. I'll probably go for a 1440p/4k secondary screen for my work.

IPS 240hz is the new thing . Glad i took this one even if i could not see too many reviews about Acer Predator 240hz over the web. Picture quality is spot on and i come from a VA with Quantum Dot . Was worried about 82ppi for this resolution but i don't have any problem with it the panel is very good and i cannot see pixels even if is a 27" and a 1080p resolution. Very responsive panel and what u would expect from a TN but is an IPS so all good things that come with that . I did not see to much glow or bleed so i think i am a lucky one . All in all from a gamer perspective u cannot get any better for a gaming display at this price point .

The monitor is great, very responsive but oh my god the dead pixels. I got 1 when I literally took it out of the box. Got a 2nd one after 3 weeks of use and I noticed my 3rd one literally 3 days ago from writing this review.

My first Acer Predator. Was worried about the stories of dodgy pixels on a number of new monitors, thankfully mine is fine. Easy to put together and connect to my pc, everything you need is included in the box, even the instructions are helpful. The colours do look a little bland when you first fire it up, so you need to tinker with the settings to find what is right for you. I play a number of games where i wanted the G-SYNC experience. Elite Dangerous really benefits from it, Microsoft Flight Simulator looks amazing on this monitor, Guild Wars 2 is just fabulous in the midst of battles with no screen tearing, rich colours, everything in focus. If you're not fussed at higher resolution than 1920x1080 but want a crystal clear picture for your online gaming, look no further. Wait until it's on sale, it was a great deal on Black Friday, don't pay more than £320 for it :)

Great monitor for FPS games or competitive games, skips no frames, very smooth and performs well. I use this as my main gaming monitor for years now and haven’t had to upgrade.

I bought this for my teenage sons Christmas he was extremely chuffed with it as it does match the brand of his pc too. Good pictures no issues so far. Very fast tracked shipping too.

Had a Acer Predator XB1 165hz monitor previously that looks almost the same from the exterior, but the previous monitor i had suffered none of the awful backlight issues that have plahued this model. I've attached pictures...This is 2020 ACER and this should not pass QC at the price point. Dissapointing. In terms of responsiveness and picture accuracy its fantastic which makes it all the more of a shame.

Hab mir den Monitor vor ca einem Jahr gekauft, um meinen AOC G2590FX zu ersetzen. Anfangs habe ich einen von Asus mit 165 hz bestellt, der aber heftige Schlieren gezogen hat und somit unspielbar war, bin in der Hinsicht auch ziemlich empfindlich. Der Unterschied von dem AOC 144hz Monitor zu diesem ist wirklich enorm vor allem was das flüssige Spielen und die Farben angeht. Betrieben wird dieser mit einer GTX 1080ti die in Fullhd noch gut 140-200 FPS bereitstellt. Jeder der lieber auf FPS statt auf 4k gehen will kann ich diesen Monitor nur empfehlen und jeder der sagt das zwischen 144hz und 240hz kein Unterschied ist dem rate ich einen Termin beim Optiker zu machen.

Ich bin wirklich begeistert von diesem Monitor. Zu aller erst muss ich sagen, dass ich ein paar Monitore bestellt habe und sie waren alle von schlechter Qualität. Darunter waren AOC C24G1, ViewSonic XG2405-2. Sie hatten starke Mängel wie FreeSync Flickering, Backlight Bleeding(sehr stark, bei den XG2405-2, hatte einer sogar FreeSync Flickering, was sehr ungewöhnlich ist für IPS). Pixel-Walk / Inversion Artifacts waren auch vorhanden und ich war wirklich schockiert, dass man heutzutage so eine schlechte Qualität erhält. Nun zu diesem Monitor: Dieser Monitor war nun meine letzte Hoffnung und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Plus: +kein Backlight Bleeding +kein FreeSync flickering +kein Pixel Walk oder sehr geringes Pixel Walk, dass ich bis jetzt noch nicht gesehen habe. +das Panel ist wirklich sehr schnell. Man sollte den Overdrive auf normal stehen lassen. Bietet die beste Qualität +konsistente Farbe auf allen Bereichen der Oberfläche im Vergleich zu dem Panda-Panel(AOC 24G2U / XG2405-2), da war es von Bereich zu Bereich unterschiedlich +sehr schöne natürliche Farbdarstellung +Reaktionsfreudiges und schönes Menu zum Einstellen des Monitors. Besser als die Konkurrenz, die ich bis jetzt getestet habe. Minus: -HDR hätte man sich hier sparen können, da es nicht wirklich einsetzbar ist. Der Monitor reguliert lediglich das Gamma runter und hoch + Kontrast. Wenn es einem um HDR geht, sollte man sich nach einer teuren Alternative umschauen. Dieses Feature lohnt sich nicht zu nutzen, leider. Aber vielleicht ist das für den ein oder anderen auch schon genug für ein HDR feeling für einen "geringen Preis". -Lautsprecher sind 'okay' ich kenne schlechtere. Sie sind aber trotzdem nicht gut. Sie sind für den Notfall geeignet, wenn die externen Lautsprecher mal den Geist aufgeben und man diese als Zwischenlösung nimmt, aber selbst dann würde ich Kopfhörer bevorzugen. Allen in allem bin ich sehr zu Frieden und kann diesen Monitor ohne Probleme weiter empfehlen deswegen gibt es vor erst 5 von 5 Sternen. Erwähnt sei noch, ich habe diesen Monitor für 249€ gekauft. Ursprünglich war er bei 269€. Dieser Preis ist auch ok, aber ich denke für 249€ ist er wirklich ein Schnäppchen und schlägt die billigere Konkurrenz wie XG2405 und den großen Favorit aller Reviewer den AOC 24G2U.

Habia leido muchas valoraciones referentes a fugas de luz, gosthing, y un sinfin de problemas que yo no he encontrado para nada en mi monitor. Funciona perfectamente, llegó con sus precintos y tras montarlo a trabajar sin más problemas. El cambio de un panel TN a uno IPS es espectacular. Los contrastes y los colores hacen que veas ya el fondo de pantalla como si fuera otro pc. Me ha encantado que puedes colocarlo de muchas posiciones, subirlo y bajarlo, rotarlo, girarlo, el ajuste es perfecto. Tambien trae HDR aunque si bien en estos monitores no es lo mejor siempre puedes ponerlo para determinados juegos o situaciones donde puede ser util. Y con respecto al tema de los 144hz, pues tiene su aquel, nada más activarlo ya lo notas en el sistema simplemente moviendo el raton y las ventanas y viendo una suavidad que antes no tenias, más alla de eso tampoco notas mucha diferencia en windows. En cuanto a juegos pues supongo que ya depende de cada uno, pero para sacar los 144 fps que necesitas para sacarle partido a esos 144hz pues haces sufrir más la grafica generando mas calor en el pc y por ende ruido, y en algunos juegos que no son FPS pues no se hasta que punto merece la pena.En los FPS o juegos donde la camara gira muy rápido pues yo que no soy un pro-gamer sinceramente no lo noto demasiado, pero si lo he notado en una cosa superimportante, he mejorado en el tema de los mareos que tenia cuando jugaba a este tipo de juegos, lo cual ya es un exito. en resumen 10/10 recomendado.
