Van Heusen Men's Big and Tall Long Sleeve No-Iron Classic Solid Button-Down Shirt

I have been wearing Van Heusen shirts for a couple of decades. Some are still in my closet after all that time, so I Guess you could say they hold up very well. I took my Measurements, neck, arm, chest, and waist and compared them to the sizing charts and needed 3 different sizes depending on which measurement I used. A large if I went by my chest size. A 2Xl if I went by my Sleve and a 6XLT if I went by my collar. So I went with the size I have always used, a 2XXLT and it fit like it was tailor made for me. So what I can tell you is that look at the size you normally wear on shirts you like the fit of and take a chance.Being a man, I don't pay attention to fashion and I don't know if I am in style or not I only care that I think I look good and These shirt fulfill that requirement.

I ordered a 3XL, Big and Tall;...and that's what I got. Honestly, I wanted to keep wearing it, but after I tried it on, it was just SLIGHTLY too large for me; I can't really complain though, but it is a shirt that would need to be tucked in.Either the shirt runs larger than normal, or I overestimated the size I would need. I'm leaning towards the latter. Perhaps a 3XL, no Big and Tall would be what I really needed.

I only have one gripe with this shirt: I ordered it in the Grey Seal color, and was sent a black one. It looked okay and I didn't want to mess with sending it back, but I already have a black shirt, and wanted a grey one. Oh well. The invoice that came with the shirt even said Grey Seal. Weird!

Aside from the shirt being enormous, the second button down is so far down that I need to wear a tie with this shirt to keep from exposing too much chest and looking too casual. Van Heusen shirts have never been my favorite, but this B&T shirts are just ridiculously big. I bought a Cutter & Buck shirt of the same size, and it fits perfectly, with buttons extending down far enough to prevent separation during the day. I need a white shirt, and this is functional, in that it covers most of my torso. A word to the wise, order small, maybe a size or two smaller than you usually would for another brand.

I'm a big guy, and this is a big shirt. Bought the 4X, and it amazingly does have some extra room. But I wear them at work and I move around a lot, so that's good for me. A great value for the money, but it does tend to run a little large, which usually isn't the case for big and tall merchandise. Just be aware of that and you'll get a good shirt for a decent price.

Arm pit area is somewhat billowy. But in general it's a good fit. A generous 4X. It could be a 5X for some manufacturers.Wish I had went with a 3X

My only complaint is that anytime we wash it lint sticks to it really bad.

Seams like a great shirt. Sleeves too short, I had to return it.
