Believe it or not, they left one of the two tool caddies out of the package. I got in touch with someone at Gladiator - they seem very interested in making customers happy, and he one available in his office and shipped it right out.Just like the workbench, be prepared to be a bit "handy" with these products - you need to drill holes in your beautiful new bench and for someone who does not normally drill things, it was a bit unnerving. But it all worked out well, and the powerstrip looks pretty cool and works as expected.One small disappointment - my own fault really - is that I wanted to keep my bench flush against a wall. That works/looks great if you don't have the powerstrip, but if you add the powerstrip, it's own AC cord emerges right out of the back of the strip, and so it blocks the back against being right against a wall. Maybe I'm not explaining it well. In the end, it hasn't mattered too much and I'm happy with both bench and powerstrip. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It's OK *by J***B on August 11, 2014* This is a nice unit, and was a great looking option for my Gladiator workbench. What I can recommend is taking your time during the install, and using a second person to hold the unit while you mark the holes before drilling. It also does a great job of keeping things from rolling off the back of the desk. This has only a few outlets, which is kinda silly for how big and expensive it is. If I had to do it over, I probably would just use a 2x2 or 2x4 mounted to the back of the bench with a long power strip. It would be much cheaper and would give more options for positioning the extension cord. The way this one is built, it is hard to push the workbench all the way up against the wall. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product *by D***T on March 26, 2015* Review of the power strip (without the extension pieces) is 5 stars. If installing this on a 6’ bench, you will love it. I have one tiny complaint about the extension pieces when mounting to an 8’ bench….read on.PROSI installed this on the 8’Gladiator Maple Workbench. It’s sturdy and uses an appropriate gauge steel. The finish matches the legs of the bench and the sides of the Gladiator cabinets. The power switch is covered with a soft clear rubber to prevent dust or grease from your hands from working its way in. The outlets seem sturdy and the power cable seems to be overkill which is just fine with me.One of the best Pros you get that other wall mounted power strips don’t give you, is that once it is installed on your workbench, it becomes a nice backsplash and prevents anything from rolling off the back.Overall, I’m very happy with this product. After completing my garage with the new 8 bench and this power strip, it’s one of the first compliments I get on how cool and useful this add-on is. Lamp, Dremel tool, soldering iron, whatever you need to use on your bench, the power is right there.CONSThe only con I have is about the two 1 foot extension pieces on either side, only used on 8 foot benches, or wall mounted to GearTrack if 6 foot bench. They have holes in them for putting screw drivers, pencils or whatever else. It has one major flaw that I need to find my own solution to fix. The layout of the holes on the top side is copied on the bottom side, so that if it were used in GearTrack, your screwdriver would pass completely through and would be held very securely. However, when attached to the bench, you only get the thickness of the metal, maybe 1/32 inch, for something to be held in, at least on the bottom. Meaning, your screwdrivers can easily tip over and be at a 45 degree angle. This became really frustrating when a pencil slid all the way in and became trapped inside. I had to move the bench away from the wall and reach around to get it out.The solution I may try is to take a piece of 2x wood and copy the hole layout into it and keep that inside the extension pieces. This will make sure nothing tips over.
