Candle by the Hour 48-Hour Tall Candle, Eco-friendly Natural Beeswax with Cotton Wick

Don't listen to the bad reviews. Order with confidence. It smells wonderful. It looks cool. Yes, the wax coil requires a little patience and care to uncoil. Pro tip, apply a hair dryer briefly to soften. The hardest part is after a burn you'll need paper clip or small pocket knife to work the melted bit out of the clip. Did I mention the wonderful smell? We cooked bacon that morning. Usually the aroma linger a day or two (Again, I don't mind that aroma) But, we opened up the candle that afternoon and with an hour, only delicious honey vanilla smells remained. Highly recommend.

I love the way this candle and stand look. Very steam punk! The stand is a good quality, antique finish metal. The beeswax smells really good. Not an artificial smell like another reviewer commented. This is a very delicious, natural beeswax smell. Produces a lot of light when lit. No smoke. Clean burning. It’s a delight to have on my desk.The only draw back is trying to uncoil the candle to get it in the clamp. The clamp is very tight. It was a little difficult, but nothing I couldn’t handle. And the biggest issue was the beeswax was not at a room temperature (it was cold) so when I uncoiled it, it broke. You can see in the photo. But even with it broke, it will still burn. I should have waited for it to warm up to room temperature so it would soften and be more pliable. But it was too beautiful, I didn’t want to wait.

My mom had the vertical version of this so we got her this horizontal version as a gift and she really loves it. I have to speak its uniqueness - when I try to describe it to people, I really can't put it in words. All I know is, it's beautiful and people comment on it all the time. It's kind of medieval, kind of steampunkish - overall, unique and really cool.

It's pretty cool. Something different. The metal seems a little on the cheap side. But it works. It does what it's supposed to. It's a good size. I got the vertical and horizontal. They just look good as a display piece. I don't like how you had to repay the full price just to get the beeswax refills. Pretty expensive so a lot of people are just going to buy it once. If you're charging almost full price rather just get a whole new system to replace, not just refills. And they only last for a couple minutes. So it's not good for a long period of time but good for novelty

This is a perfect addition to anyone who likes a sophisticated looking home. The candle last for a very long time virtually no smell or smoke. The only thing close to this candle’s quality is the stand it sits on.

Almost all likes. The design and build quality is First Rate. Scent of beeswax has been unknown to me, I don't know why I have many candles. I think it burns a little bit faster than it's ratings, but the self- distinguishing design is a comfort. Going back to order other Styles as well, plus the ability to refill it will come in handy. It is not explicit on how to load the candle the first time, and it came to me very cold. Just let it warm to room temperature and it should separate out from the reel fairly easily. I helped along with a hair dryer set to low.

This would be a really cool gift. Says it will burn 48 hours. Doubtful. The wick trimmer is about useless. You can pinch it better and even then sometimes hard to relight. What I thought would last an hour, maybe 30 minutes. It is a bit of high maintenance constantly pushing the candle up correctly. The more you have up.. the longer it should burn but it does that quickly unless at intervals you blow out, trim the wick and relight. Overall, kinda cute. I honestly hoped that the beeswax would help the air in the room. Guess I will see if my dust allergies and such get better. Most decent scented candles are expensive and sometimes unpredictable. This one definitely is not unpredictable... Refill? Probably doubtful but a possibility. Still very unique, especially for a gift.

Love this unique candle.....smells good too. I thought I had not gotten my package even though it said it was delivered.....turned out someone in my house picked it up and was not considerate enough when they SAW me go look for it... to tell me they got it....I had to ask them point blank. Wonderful gift for my birthday.
