Unfortunately, this set does not come with the plastic ends needed to secure the dowels in the dowel side hole. Also, wondering if plastic will work as it is the only solution I’ve seen on Amazon for these ends and may not be strong enough for heavy loads. Metal would be much better, I’m sure. In addition, the dowel ends and the plastic pieces are not self tapping. Not sure if this is a feature or bug. Dowel Plastic gets destroyed after use if taken out and I guess could be reused but at most likely a diminished capability. Multiple drill bit/hole sizes needed for solution without the plastic dowel tip which makes working with these difficult (process is much more complicated, takes more time, more error prone) Without plastic tip the dowel is not secured enough and joint is improper/weak. Dowel threads difficult to screw in due to non self tapping functionality. No load information available in the specifications. At least 2 dowels needed for strong enough joint. It would be nice if they specified drill bit size for different types of material, but I think I’m dreaming now.

These are the worst connectors I've ever used. They break with the smallest amount of torque applied to seat the bolt.
