Quality toy Quality material
Loved this toy as a kid. Lots of inferior ones online I saw this at a toy shop while traveling and regretted not buying it. Then found it here on Amazon. This has a nice braided rope with rubber ball which will not scuff floors indoors. Bought 2 for Xmas gifts. Going to get one for me for my home gym. I can’t jump rope in by basement gym ( low ceiling) this will be a great alternative. Great for coordination, cardio fun!!

Bad design
Bad product. The loop that goes around the ankle doesn't have any form so the rope just wraps around your leg as opposed to swinging around over and over. I bought it for my 8 y/o and he was very disappointed. Don't buy this one. Find one that has a plastic formed loop to go around the ankle. This one is just a tripping hazard. I'm sending it back.

Skipper
Had a different style as a kid. I thought it was the same but as you try to use it the rope tangles.

Great outdoor toy
Got this for my daughter’s birthday. She loves it. I love that it can take the wear and tear Of a tough kid! The loop around the ankle is adjustable.

They don't make them like they used to
A little disappointed with this thing......I remember as a child having a skipper with a formed rubber ring that slipped around your ankle and a bouncy ball on the other end. This just has the rope that goes around the ankle and the ball is hard plastic, so it doesn't work quite the same way. I thought it would be a fun way to get some extra exercise, and the concept is right, just lacks a bit in the execution. Didn't work for what I wanted, but maybe a child would enjoy it.

My daughter loves it
My little girl is not so sports minded, I wanted a way to get her moving and she told me one day about this which reminded me of the one I had, it had a bee on it. So with spring break here I thought I would buy her one too keep her and the other kids busy and moving. It is a huge hit with all the ages 4-17.

Very fun
I wanted one of these for me since my kids have a very cheap version with a light, holey ball on the end. This ball is heavy and works well when the rope is tight. It has a learning curve and doesn't forgive much. If the ball isn't spinning fast enough, the rope starts to bind and the ball gets caught on the floor. Fast enough is, the ball not touching the ground. The loop on the end is huge, but I haven't tightened it yet. My husband can do it well, I'm getting better but the rope binds up on me, and my kids are okay with it until it flies off their foot. The loop could easily be fixed with a ponytail holder for a temporary hold. It seems to be held in place very snugly. If we decide to purchase another one, it will be this one. Unlike the plastic ones with a rigid tether, this fits in a space the size of the ball.

Useless
I bought this for my girlfriend's daughter and immediately realized it was impossible to use. The rope doesn't spin at the ball end, causing the rope to knot up and, ultimately, rendering the toy useless. After just one or two whirls around the leg, if you can get that many, the ball needs to be lifted and the rope reset. I returned it only a few minutes after it arrived.
