## Description

Young pitchers often struggle with the finger placement that’s crucial in throwing fastballs, curveballs, and sliders. Enter the SKLZ Pitch Training Baseball, which teaches right- and left-handed pitchers the proper finger placement with a color-coded pitching key and finger markers printed on the ball. Quickly learn or coach the proper grip for throwing 4-seam fastballs, 2-seam fastballs, curveballs, and sliders. Unlike some other training baseballs, the Pitch Training Baseball is the official weight and size of game balls allowing players to train accurately and develop the muscle memory needed to master the pitches more likely to strike batters out. Recommended for youth baseball athletes, the SKLZ Pitch Training Baseball with Finger Placement Markers is the easiest way to create added confidence in players' fastballs, curveballs and sliders to help young players build the skills needed on the mound to face-off against the best hitters in their league.

Review: Perfect for Budding Pitchers - Picked up the SKLZ Ball for my 12-year-old, and he can’t put it down. He’s been using it to practice throwing curveballs, sliders, and other pitches, and it’s amazing to see how quickly he’s improving. The design makes it easy for him to learn proper grip and spin, so every throw is building muscle memory. It’s super durable, too, after countless throws in the backyard and at the park, it still looks brand new. Plus, it’s lightweight and portable, so it’s easy to bring along to games or practice. If you’ve got a young pitcher looking to level up their game, this ball is an absolute game-changer. Just be ready to spend a lot more time in the yard catching pitches — trust me, it’s worth it!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there an instruction manual or video to decipher the color markings?**
A: Easy to follow instructions. Good training ball.

**Q: Does ball come with instrucion manual?**
A: No. There are images on the ball for the placement of fingers. It’s pretty cool and a great way for young pitchers to learn how to hold a ball.

**Q: How does the ball come packaged? I am thinking of giving as a birthday party favor but is the ball loose or have packaging?**
A: It does come in a package, and what a great party favor!

**Q: Does it include instructions for how much pronation/supination should be used with each pitch?**
A: As I recall, it does not. It's been over 8 months since I purchased it. But, my students love it! They throw 3 out of the four pitches, but not the curve ball. I won't allow kids under 16 to throw that pitch. Also, have looked into YouTube for further instructions?

*by D***H on May 13, 2024*

My 8U son will begin kid pitch thus Fall, so I bought this ball for him and his teammates that will be pitching to start getting used to the FB grips. Wish there was another version that did not have curveball on it Not really wanting my 8/9 year-old players trying to throw curveballs 😂
