Ok
Bought this cause my baby saw it at the store. Couldn’t find it anywhere except amazon. Not very sturdy. Comes apart. For $30 would have expected more.

A bit pricey but a nice toy
My granddaughter loves it. She is 4. I play farm with her. A bit over priced though sometimes you can buy new in damaged packaging, which is what I did. The toy itself was I damaged. I followed the directions, which can be tricky. You have to match picture-to-piece. They pieces are not labeled. It took under an hour to assemble. It's all Chinese made plastic and not the best quality. Unfortunately there aren't many alternatives out there. One German toy company that I believe is made from poster cardboard had high ratings. But I went with this because she already had a few horses. So, this is 1:32 scaled. Look for other animal and farm toys of the same scale. They're out there. Ertl or something like that makes same scale animals and they're less expensive. The reason to keep 1:32 scale is that all the animals fit and work with these barns and animal hospital toys. There are no giant horses that won't fit in the stable. Similarly there are no micro animals. The 1:32 scale seems to be the right size to fit her hands and be large enough to play with for my 4 year old. While the Bryer Stablemate animals are more detailed and don't have that plastic molding line down the middle of the animal, the Ertl animals were just fine for a toddler who could care less and also looked like a real animal. Also, if you decide to use glue, don't glue the roof pieces. Your child will need to take the roof off to play with the toy.

Easy to assemble
This took about 20 minutes to put together and if you actually put the tabs in the slots, it is rather sturdy. My daughter and I assembled this in about twenty minutes. The instructions could have been a tad clearer, but they were not that bad. The solid looking part of the building (the part someone said meant you couldn't play in there if you assembled it) Is actually a half roof with the other half being a flap so you can easily access the main vet clinic area. All the animals pictured came with the set. My daughter loves it and is playing with it as I write this. I wouldn't hesitate to get this for a child the item is recommended for (manufacturer recommends 7 and up, so yes, a preschooler would probably be too rough on this) I wish they had chosen a different foal model since this is the one with the mold that has some of the most issues standing, but the one we got is actually very good at standing. The little goat is adorable.

Cute addition to other Breyer Farms collections but doesn't snap together especially well
I bought this for my 8-year-old daughter as a Christmas gift. She got another set last year and absolutely loves it. This one is all plastic as opposed to the wood/pressed board construction of the previous one. Not really a problem, but the wood set does seem like it will be more durable and was easier to get to a state of feeling solid. As we were assembling this one, the pieces didn't snap together in a way that made them feel like they'd stay in place. So, out came the super glue. Once we glued it together , the set seemed to be fine structurally. It's a very cute set and has more animals to expand an existing collection. There's enough detail to make it feel authentic for a child's play time. I generally like the Breyer Farms sets and my daughter was very happy with it. If my only complaint is needing to apply some adhesive, I don't have too much to complain about.

Breyer Stablemates won the heart of my 6 yr old
This was a birthday gift for my 6 yr old grand daughter. In her words, " I give this 5 stars because it is perfect. They even have grass and flowers so it looks like a home. It is so pretty. You can even open up the roof to reach in and play with the animals. All the doors and gates open to let the animals go where they want and I can shut them to keep the animals safe. She told me all about the surgeries she performed and, "how careful she is with the sick animals." She took a video of the inside and outside of the Animal Hospital to show other children but I do not know how to download it to Amazon. I highly recommend Breyer and this particular Deluxe Animal Hospital!

Made cheap
Expensive brand but made super cheap, parts broke when putting it together.

Not worth it
I’ll start by saying the design is really cute. However, the pieces are made of cheap, thin, plastic and I ended up breaking one while putting it together. As others have mentioned, it keeps falling apart. At this point, my kids have spent more time re-attaching parts than playing with the toy. For the price, I expected something better.
