Arrived quick, and you have to assemble everything because it all comes in pieces. When we discharged the crossbow into the target one of the bolts fletching messed up, so we decided that that’ll be the designated discharge bolt for the season. Kid friendly and will be great for this deer season!

Classic case of “you get what you pay for.” For about $30 you get 12 bolts that work perfectly fine for target practice, and at that price you won’t be too upset if you lose or damage one. However, if you’re planning to use them for harvesting large game, think twice. I did take a doe with one of these bolts, and while it was effective, the bolt shattered into four pieces after the shot. Only the ribs were hit, so I wouldn’t have expected that kind of failure. The bolt was brand-new, never fired, and I checked it beforehand with no signs of damage. It got the job done, but the overall quality just wasn’t what I’d hoped for. I’ll probably buy again for use as target practice, but based on real experience, I don’t have the confidence to use them on game again. If I had high expectations I wouldn’t consider them but my expectations were low based on the price and I got exactly what I paid for.
