Very sturdy, water proof, and lockable .Fairly easy install, with minor drilling.I use these for my overlanding rig, and store compressor, ropes, tools, etc. I have a shell, so I can't comment on the longevity in the sun, or how good the locks are to theft.The hinges are sturdy, and the locking mechanisms and latches work well.I like that these can be easily removed if needed, tho I haven't needed to remove them.So far I'm digging these

First I want to say thankyou to HpIII. I have a Nissan Titan, so was prepared in encountering a little difficulty in drilling the holes in my truck. The self tapping screws don't work for my truck. I used a step drill bit, instead, just to get the holes started. Otherwise, I am very pleased with my driver and passenger side Swing case! I was a little worried about security, because I have a Tonneau cover, but Under Cover even thought about that! You can secure the swing cases with your own supplied padlock! They work just like pictured and can access your tools, without having to get up in your truck and doesn't take away from valuable bed space. If ever, you do need to remove them. They come off in a jiffy!

2017 nissan frontier...Fast installation, maybe 6 self tapping screws into the bed sidewall. Bracket is very sturdy, swinging and locking action feel very firm, for my purposes of holding spray bottles cargo straps jumper cables etc. no sag observed when case is fully swung outward. Very convenient removable process for loading bed full of material ex gravel. I have driver side case and does not impede loading and strapping down of motorcycle. Solid buy worth the money

This is a great idea and it does work well. The install was easy for the most part. One problem on the 16 titan is the lower 2 mounting holes require you to drill through an extra plate and the self tapping screws did not like that and the head snapped off well before they seated. I had to cut the bolts off and drill new holes that were not in the double plated area. Would recommend for future installs get a tap and tap the 2 bottom holes to avoid this issue. My other issue is with Amazon. They gave me the option of a like new at a discounted price. In my mind like new is the item is undamaged but the box and packaging may have been opened. This was not the case. The lower hole that the box swings on was damaged and I had to reshape it to get it to work. My guess this is why it was returned and instead of sending it back to the MFG as damaged Amazon just sold it without stating the issue. Luckily I could make it work but still annoying that Amazon is not up front about the condition of the items

The quality and design of this tool box are good, it's a solid item. Install was simple and straight forward, and the instructions were clear. It works great, swings very smoothly and the latch works exactly as it should.My complaint is that it is not compatible with my bed cover. I bought this tool box specifically because the description says it is compatible with all bed covers. It most definitely is not. When mounted 1.5" off the bed floor, as the instructions say, it is much too close to the top of the bed wall (of my 2016 Nissan Frontier) for the latches of the bed cover to work. Even when mounted lower, just enough off the floor to swing freely, there is not enough room for the latch to operate. Since almost every soft trifold cover has the same latching system, that means I can't even get a new cover that will work with the toolbox. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now. If I keep the box I can't use the cover, but if I return the box I'm left with the 6 holes drilled in the wall of my truck bed for this box.Overall it's a decent toolbox, but I'm disappointed with the purchase.

I love this thing. Seems to be constructed with the quality material. Super easy install took just a few minutes. Love the convenience it looks great.

We're always loading and unloading "stuff" from our 2017 Nissan Titan XD.Crawling in and out isn't fun - but, these things just swing out over the tailgate for easy access without climbing into the bed. The lock "works"... but, this is Plastic, so how secure it actually, is eeeehhhh, it does look great, wish it was made of metal.What we like the MOST, the junk which was sliding around, and didn't fit well in the cab, has a home in a locking box.The tow chains, ropes, extra oil, cleaning wipes, all kinds of stuff - goes into these 2 boxes. I also like a little weight in the bed to get off the "top of the shocks" for a nicer ride, this helps.

Seems to be very sturdy and easy to use. Installation was a little bit of a challenge because I had an insert bed-liner not a spray on liner. You have to cut around the bracket to make it fit
