ECR4Kids SoftZone Patchwork Activity Mat, Folding Playmat, Contemporary

This mat is fantastic! it is large and doesn't fold up, so be sure you have the room for it. We have a small living room, and it takes up the majority of our floor space, but its lightweight, and we just lean it up against the wall behind the couch when we aren't using it. Its solid blue underneath, and we have that side facing out, so its not so noticeable when not in use. It kind of fades into the background (as we have light blue/gray walls). We have hardwood floors, and no carpet/rugs anywhere, which is not conducive for baby to practice sitting up, learning to crawl, tummy time, etc. We tried to use a blanket, but it would just bunch up with any movement. Yes, you can get one of those pads that you use under an area rug and put that under a blanket, but I don't think that provides enough cushion if the baby falls over. This mat is thick enough that its perfect for practicing to sit up and crawl. When he falls over and bumps his head, he's fine! Not the same for a blanket on the floor, or an area rug (hard landing, which we also learned the hard way). We also use this mat under his jumper. Our baby is a maniac in that thing and would end up with blisters on his toes from jumping so hard. Now the jumper goes on top of the mat, and he jumps away with no more blisters. Lastly, its a great little play mat in general. The different colors are attractive, and we even ordered the foam blocks that go with it (to be used when he's a little older). Its plenty of space for my husband and I to sit with him on it and even lie down next to him to play. Its comfy to lie on too. If you have the space, I highly recommend this. Its well built and we will get a lot of use out of it. Not only for him, but I'm sure it will last for a second child, and then some. Very happy with this purchase and will order from this company again!

I spent lots of time researching and trying to find a playmat for my baby. She is 4 months, I wish I would have gotten this from the beginning, but I know I’ll be using this for the years to come!! Just buy this and use it for the next few years. It’s quality. It’s not super heavy but it also doesn’t slide around. Easy to clean and stack to store. Also, it’s a lot larger than I thought.

It is thick, amazing quality, so easy to clean! It folds for easy storage. We got it because my baby girl at only 4 months old was trying to crawl but kept sliding. This mat provides her the soft cushion but it will not let her slide. She loves it and has been doing push ups in it! I only wish that they had more color options- though, my daughter finds the colors on the one we got very intriguing!

Love this mat to hang out on with our infant. We've had it for 3 months and it's held up great from spit ups to rolling and daily use. Easy to wipe clean which is important for our busy household and it's colorful rather than some pastel beige that doesn't catch our babies attention. Highly suggest it for anyone about to have a baby to use for tummy time and just to hang out on! Lightweight enough to fold up and put under the sofa or away while guests are over or it isn't in use. The size is good for what we use it for as well. I think this will hold up for at least another 2 years making the price point worth it!

I was looking for a mat that comes in one whole piece so my baby cannot pull any pieces off of it and chew them by accident and also something that was thick enough so if she fell on it, it wouldn't hurt. This one fits the bill~! I originally had it in my living room, next to my couch...Great for when we first enter the house to lay her on it while I take off my jacket. This was before she learned how to sit up and stand. My baby learned how to crawl, stand up and walk while on this mat. Fell a few times but got right back up again with no tears. Cleans easily. Good diapering surface when we're too lazy to bring her back to her room to change her. Very large surface area (approx 58"X58") which may be a bit of a problem if you have limited space. Right now it's lined up next to her mattress so when she rolls off of her bed, it wouldn't wake her up immediately. She's rolled off several times already and hasn't woken up yet. I think an added bonus is that it doesn't create static like the way some of the foam mats would.

This is a fantastic mat for an infant learning to crawl. My daughter is almost 8 months old, and she's at that age where she just wants to move around - but still hasn't *quite* gotten the mechanics. She face-plants and just generally throws her little body around quite a bit, and this mat has the perfect padding (at least 1.5") to protect her from getting hurt. It's a good size - about 5'x5' - though we may need a second one soon since she drags herself out of the surface and into the ground more and more. The mat feels durable and it's not too heavy, so moving it around is not a problem. Nevertheless, it's got enough heft to stay in place when baby is playing on it (or even when we are there with her). The material is really easy to wipe off with a damp cloth. And the colorful pattern is fun! Overall, really happy with this mat. A bit pricey, but this will last a long time and grow with baby.

This is a great activity mat! The colors are bold and vivid, just as shown on the website. Love the thickness of the mat not only for our grandson, but for my knees as well! It is easily cleaned, folded and stored.
