Black Snail All In One Cream Intensive Korean Skin Care Facial Moisturizing Snail Mucin Extract (2.54 fl oz)

I opened up to trying this product after reading that there is some scientific evidence behind the use of snails in skin treatment. This is a very inexpensive cream for how well it performs, but it is light, almost like a gel. I was nervous because of the price that perhaps this would be an adulterated product since the same cream is sold for a great deal more elsewhere. Mine arrived sealed. It is in the newer bottle, but it seems like the same stuff. I can' t read Korean writing so I can't tell if the label looks off, but the english text looks right. I like this quite a lot. I've been very cautious about creams especially if they contain the words "brightening" as some products have been found to contain mercury. I have a freckle on my cheek and it is still there after using this though, and I think if this product contained something like that it would fade. Also the smell seems right, just a little odd, but not in a harsh metallic way, just the way I think snail smells in creams, which is fine. I like that this product is not too heavily perfumed also. It's very light and almost translucent when rubbing into the skin. It takes a few minutes of sitting to dry into the skin, but it has a very nice effect. It isn't terribly moisturizing and in the first day or so it seemed to cause a breakout. However, after about a week my skin stopped breaking out from it and I think perhaps, since it was places I usually break out anyway, it's possible that I had underlying blemishes there already. After a few days though of using this morning and night, my skin really does seem a tiny bit brighter and smoother. It still gets a little dry, I had hoped to use this more as a night cream but I think it is not so moisturizing. It takes a bit to fully dry on the skin, so I apply it right after washing at night and in the morning then let it set some time before I put on anything else for the day. I feel like it might not be good to put on makeup right after. If you have very dry skin, as I do in places, you'll still need a deeper moisturizer though overall I feel like this product really does tone and soften the skin. For the price it's unbeatable. I use it on my neck and hands too.

Honestly this product is amazing, you just have to use it correctly. In my experience, many korean skincare products work best when LAYERED. If you're looking for extra deep hydration, perhaps overnight, apply several "skins" of this product. The magical thing about this cream is that you can layer and layer and it just keeps absorbing into your skin--no pilling, even when applied on top of most of my serums. Unlike my other creams, it doesn't leave a high shine after i apply several layers, so I don't have to sacrifice that extra hydrated feeling that I get with my nighttime routine just because I don't want my face to look shiny during the day. Skin type: extremely oily yet prone to a tight, dehydrated feeling Concerns: Acne, wrinkles appearing in forehead and around mouth, hyperpigmentation/melasma around mouth How I use this product: Twice a day I use a gentle chemical exfoliating toner to control my acne and help fade the scars I have on my cheeks. After that dries, I go right ahead with this cream. I typically apply 1-2 layers in the morning, and 2-4 with my nighttime routine if I want to be extra indulgent or my skin needs emergency hydration. It leaves my skin feeling very plump, and is a great quick fix for the days where the fine lines between my eyebrows are crinklier than usual. PRO TIPS: keep it in the fridge. the colder temperature will wake your skin up in the morning and soothe it at night. Also, "cream" is a misnomer; this is an extremely moisturizing product, but don't expect a firm, fluffy cream. For that same reason, I find that it's far easier to get the right amount, keep it from getting under my fingernails, and keep the jar sterile if I use a small spoon to scoop up the product. Long story short, I pretty much have every skin problem. This product definitely helps my wrinkles, soothes redness, and meets ALL my moisturizing needs, all while not upsetting my acne or clogging my pores. If you have acne, don't expect this product to fix it by itself, but DO use it to keep your skin from suffering the negative side effects of your other acne-fighting products.

I heard tons of amazing things about snail mucin while researching Korean skin care products, so I knew I had to try this product out when I saw how highly rated the Mizon All In One Cream was. I thought I would go the extra step and spring for the Black Snail All In One, thinking it must be even more concentrated. I love that you receive a very good amount of product for less than you would pay for even the drugstore face creams! A little dab is enough to pat onto my entire face and neck. I have seen good benefits from using this face cream. Not totally astounding results, but good enough that I will more than likely purchase the regular Mizon All In One Snail Cream next time. This product hydrates without feeling greasy, it soothes my irritated skin, I think I've even noticed a difference in how quickly acne discoloration is improving. I've only been using it for two months, so I'm still waiting to see just how good this product works on my skin. I'm only 31, and have oily/combination skin with minimal fine lines around the eyes and mouth. Since starting my Korean skincare routine, I have seen those fine lines erased, my pores are shrinking, my face isn't quite as oily through the T-zone, my skin is smoother, and the cystic acne that had started to crop up is finally calming down. I have noticed a few more blackheads on the chin and nose, but they aren't bad enough that I can't gently take care of them after a hot shower. Overall, this is a good night cream. Definitely worth trying.

Well, I'm a believer. I just started a Korean skincare routine, and was hesitant about this product because ANYTHING that is supposed to soak into my skin breaks me out. It's been a week with this product, applying twice a day, and not a single cluster of pimples! The small zits I'm getting are disappearing within 1-2 days and are very small, and this doesn't seem to aggravate them! I'm so happy I took a chance on this. This product is super lightweight and works well for me since I have oily skin. However, I think this would suffice for someone with dry skin as well. It has pretty much no smell. If you've ever smelled Vaseline or something similar, it's like that; it has a "smell," but not really. (If that makes sense.) A little goes a LONG way. I've found that the perfect amount is just bouncing my fingertips off the top of the cream. Dot it on your forehead and cheeks, and you're good to go! It's a small tub, but I can easily see this lasting me for a year. I can't say anything about anti-wrinkles and such, but I will update this with the months to come. :) UPDATE: 3 months later, and my skin is 100% clear still. I was never a believer in skincare routines because I thought only lucky people had good skin anyway. But, cleansing and moisturizing is spectacular. This doesn't break me out at all. However, I haven't noticed the "anti-wrinkle" yet. Then again, I have such a baby face. But, wrinkles or not, I'll continue to buy this because it's the only thing that moisturizes without giving me a hundred pimples. :) Also, I still have over half a tub left. I've gotten a bit heavy-handed, so I'll back that down a bit. I think if you use this nightly, sparingly enough, 10 months to a year will be fine.

I'd like to start this review off right by stating I have dehydrated combo skin with a very oily T zone. I found this product to be moisturizing, it's not terribly light but it's also not a gel. It is adequate as a winter moisturizer. However I do have to take care to apply this product in front of a mirror as it often leaves a bit of a white cast (just like sunscreen) on my skin if it isn't applied thinly or evenly enough. On the other hand it didn't break me out, and isn't sticky. Although I did find the consistency a bit interesting. It smells like sunscreen, but not very stongly of it so you likely won't notice it after application. I'm giving this product a 3/5 because I find it to be a good product that I would recommend to a friend if you have dry skin and like cream moisturizers, but probably won't repurchase in the future. I do plan on finishing this product. PSA: This product does not include one of those little spatula thingies for removing product to lower the risk of contamination over time, in case that bothers you.

At 32 I had stubborn hormonal acne and dry flaky skin (thanks in part to the dry climate in Colorado) I was tired of constantly fighting my skin and embarked on a journey to get the clear youthful skin I deserved. I was pleased to find that the skin of my dreams in a Korean beauty inspired routine. The best part is that nearly all the products I tried were relatively inexpensive and readily available from amazon. My acne is non-existent now and the tone and texture of my skin is so supple and smooth. I have provided a list of my routine below which includes this product. I’m not saying this is the best or only way to achieve my results, I just thought others would be interested in what I used. *indicates review for this product AM- hydrating, lightweight, works under makeup Cleanser - BOOTS Botanics All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream (purchased from Ulta for a fraction of the price $6.99) First Toner- Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater, 4 oz. – $7.00 - This is like a drink of water for your face. I love this stuff and will spray again randomly throughout the day whenever I need a refresher. The aroma is a little strong for my liking but (almost like perfume) but I’m willing to overlook since the rose and aloe does so much for my skin. I used to use just straight rose water which has a very present smell but I like the spray delivery of this product better. Moisturizing Toner- [Skin Food] Premium Avocado Rich Toner 180ml –$12.98 - I can’t say enough about this. It’s a nice thick toner much more substantial that the western watery toners I was used to. The smell of this is very bright and green (that’s the best way I can think of to explain it) I love the smell! Every now and then I will smell it on my face and it gives me an invigorating boost. This toner works well to moisturize and calm my skin and will certainly be re-purchasing. A little goes a long way with this stuff so that won’t be for quite some time! Treatment- Body Merry Hyaluronic Acid Serum for Anti-aging with Vitamic C and Natural Green Tea, 2 Oz – $13.99 - I use this during the day to keep my skin feeling hydrated and give my skin the boost of anti-oxidants to help combat ageing. This is a lightweight serum (which is why I use it under my makeup) but it does take some time to fully absorb in and dry on my skin. After I put this on I generally go and have breakfast before coming back to finish. The aroma leans more towards green tea which again I find refreshing for the morning. The syrup is a milky and slightly viscous with minimal stickiness. Eye Cream- Loreal Revitalift Eye Cream 0.5 Ounce (14ml) (14ml) – (Purchased from Ulta) Face Cream- [MIZON] Snail Recovery Gel Cream 45ml (1.52 fl.oz.) Pack of 2 – $9.99/ 2-pack - Lightweight moisturizer which works perfectly under makeup. This product doesn’t’ have much of a smell. The consistency is unique halfway between a gel and a cream. Glides on smoothly and provides a decent amount of hydration when combines with my other hydrating products. I don’t like to use occlusive products during the day and this moisturizer fits the bill. PM-all about Snail- Repair, Hydrated, Moisturize Makeup Remover- Boots Botanics All Bright Soothing Eye Make-up Remover 5 oz. – Purchased at Ulta for a fraction of the price - $6.99 Double Cleanse - [Total 2Pcs] The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil + Foam SET –$14.21 - The oil cleanser feels light and silky. At night, I massage 1 pump into my skin and works well to dissolve the days make-up. Once I am done breaking down all the makeup, I use water to get some of it off before moving to the foam cleanser. My only complaint is that the fragrance is a little strong and can burn my eyes if I’m not careful. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. The foam cleanser works well to clean off the oil left on my face. The foam cleanser aroma is a lot more tolerable to me. It comes out of the tube a shimmery white color and is Very gentle. These two cleansers work well to get my face clean and ready for treatments without that typical tight feeling. They leave my skin soft and moisturized. Exfoliation - Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System Microdermabrasion Treatment 1 Kit - $21.99 - one a week - I used to use philosophy's microderm kit but this one offers the same exact results for 1/2 of the price. This exfoliator leaves my skin feeling baby soft but it does seem a tad harsh so I don't like to use it too frequently. I love the fresh citrus smell of the crystals and the warming foaming action once you put on the activator. Since I only use this once a week it lasts for a VERY long time and is totally worth the price. Toner- [Skin Food] Premium Avocado Rich Toner 180ml –$12.98 I can’t say enough about this. Essence - [Cosrx] Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence 100ml – $15.85 - I only use this at night because it does leave bit of a film on my face which I find unpleasant under make up. It dries quickly and a single pump gives me enough to cover my whole face and neck. There is no smell to speak of but it does have a slimy snail-y texture ( it is 96% slime!) and can be a bit tacky once its all said and done. I have also used this on some iron burns to help it heal faster and minimize scaring with a lot of success. Treatment- MIZON Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule - Anti Wrinkle - Multi Function Formula - $11.43 - Anti Wrinkle - Multi Function Formula- Clear viscous liquid. Not nearly as slimy as the essence. No smell, absorbs quickly. I focus heavily on the snail products at night because I read that the copper peptides naturally contained in the snail can alter the effectiveness of the vitamin C and vice versa. Spot Treatment- [MIZON] Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot 30ml – $14.95 - Use only as needed – Works wonders to diminish blemishes overnight. I used this quite frequently when I first started but after a while using all these products I didn’t have any acne to speak of! Sheet Mask - Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet, 16 Combo Pack – $10.40 - I use once a week. I know that sheet masks are the totally hot thing in Korean beauty but I don’t think they do much for me other than a relaxing home spa experience. I just don’t see that they provide much and probably will not be buying more. Eye Cream- MIZON Korean Cosmetics Snail Repair Eye Cream, 1 Ounce 1 Ounce – $13.98 - Light weight, absorbs quickly. The container is quite generous and a little will go a long way. I think I will have this for a while! It doesn’t have any smell. *Face Cream- MIZON Black Snail All In One Cream, 2.40 Ounce –$10.49 - Like all of the Mizon Snail products I have tried this is a very easy introduction into the world of snail skin care. It has minimum smell and lightweight texture. Minimal slime factor, you wouldn’t even know it was snail in a blind comparison. It has a off white color and a lightweight consistency. It doesn’t work wall as an occlusive if that’s what you want you may need to add a different moisturizer at night. Face Oils- I use a mixture of two oils applied at once: Radha Beauty Rosehip Oil 4 oz - 100% Pure Cold Pressed Certified Organic . - $13.95 - and Radha Beauty Moroccan Argan Oil for Hair, Face & Skin 4 oz - USDA Organic 100% Pure Cold pressed Virgin Oil From Morocco - By Radha Beauty –$12.95 - I like to use the oils last because I feel like it really seals everything in and provides moisture to last me through the night. The rosehip oil is very yellow orange so I wouldn’t recommend using during the day abut I do sometimes mix the Argan oil in with my foundation if I want a dewier look.

I've been using this product for about a month, but I feel I've seen enough of a difference that I am ready to leave a review. I'm acne prone with skin on the dry side, and after a lot of trial and error, my primary moisturizer is a gel (specifically Sebamed). But I wanted to add another moisturizer into my routine for the winter, since the Sebamed alone wasn't cutting it. This stuff has been great, and I really feel it's improved my skin already. It looks a bit more even. I have a tiny bit of hyperpigmentation that has lightened up a touch. I'll be interested to see if it improves further. The Mizon is my second step, I apply it after Hado Labo light lotion, since it has hyaluronic acid in it, and helps the Mizon absorb better. It's not heavy or sticky, and I use it around my eyes, as well. It feels a little thick so I was worried it would sit on the surface of my skin forever, but it sinks right in. Good stuff! Believe the hype, even if you're only looking for a bit of extra moisturizing. UPDATE: I'm about halfway through the jar and this is fast becoming a holy grail product for me. I will definitely reorder. When I first started using it, I wasn't using much each night, but I've started being more generous with it and really massaging it into my skin. Holy moly, it is great. I compulsively pick my skin, and in the past I would pick my face before bed and look awful in the morning. Now, if I pick and then apply this product (as long as I don't break any skin!) The product came in a black matching box and a white seal when opening the jar and a little lid no spatula. I love using. This cream I've have switch my whole skin care to Snail products slowly and I see a major difference in how it looks and feels as the days go on. This cream doesn't stay wet or moist however you don't need it to in order to penetrate and start building the skin as you sleep. I use it day and night sometimes with a sleep ing pact I also use a sheet mask and I know that one jar is going to last a month to two months for most of us there isn't any need to smear the product all over your face a small amount will go along way especially if you follow directions and tap/ dab the product into the skin and let it dry if need be you can add a moisturizer you feel comfortable with however I like that oily t doesn't stay wet and dry matte. I love that my Dry Acne Prone sensitive skin is reacting positively with this product I've Been using the product for more than 4 months and no breaks out and the cystic ones I had have gone away. I think this stuff is worth a try when I bought it originally I had nothing to lose I had a face full of scaring and acne from forehead to jaw now everything is smooth and others are noticing the clarity in my skin and the health of my skin.
