**Q: Can it be used as a real phone?**
A: This is not the phone I ordered, but it is similar,  the one that I did order ,yes , you can use it as a real phone.  The characters each react as the phone is ringing.  LOVE IT!!!!  Now I think I will order this one, it is much cheaper.
