You can interface these with arduino or other microcontrollers!
I'm repurposing these and using them for a dog game that I'm building. I was looking for large buttons (momentary switches) to interface to my microcontroller (atTiny2313), but these were a bonus. All I really needed was the switch, but with the LEDS (which I was going to light up a different way) and with the sounds, this is great! I opened up the button and all 4 are actually identical except for the LED color (as well as the plastic button color). Each of these buttons plays all 4 sounds, it just depends on which pin is jumped on the board. The board is large enough where you can tap into the button (+ voltage), turn on the lights, and trigger the sounds. While this device works on 3V battery, I was able to successfully use it on 5V as well. I did put a small resistor inline to bump that down a bit just in case I was near the limits, so I'm at about 4.5 and everything looks normal. While the LEDs do have resistors on the board, they are of a low value (~50 ohm depending on the color), as it's expecting 3V. So on my trigger line I added a couple hundred more ohms. I know this review is outside the scope of just about anybody buying these, but in case you're a DIYer, these would work great for any microcontroller (e.g. arduino, raspberry pi, ATMEL etc). I'll get a video of what it will do once I'm done.

Great for Review Games in the Classroom!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are great to use to support gaming in instruction! I used them for review of content! The students loved them! I used these with grades 3-5.

Works well
I got this for a game show night my Search & Rescue group had. We had previously used a collection of bells and ringers we had gotten at thrift stores. These are soooo much better! The lights really help to know who buzzed in first and each sound is distinct. There is no volume contorl and that might have been nice. I've only used them once so am not sure if durability will be an issue. They have batteries so that shouldn't be an issue.

Adorable, but the green buzzer should be used with caution
I ordered these buzzers for use in my classroom, for use with a "quiz show" style review game (an alternative to standard reviews we use). I liked the idea that these BOTH make noise AND light up; that makes it easier to determine who answered first! These four buzzers light up in different colors and make different sounds. ~~ Green makes a "laser" sound ~~ Red makes a siren sound ~~ Yellow makes a buzzer sound ~~ Blue makes a "Charge!" sound The noise level is medium. They are loud enough to be heard, but not so loud that they will disturb classes that are nearby. The buzzers each take two AAA batteries (not included), which are housed in a small battery compartment on the back of the buzzer. In order to insert or change batteries, it is necessary to unscrew a teeny-tiny screw (I'd recommend a glasses screwdriver or a precision screwdriver set). Amazon sells rechargeable AAA batteries for CHEAP, which is what I used. My only complaint about these buzzers is regarding the green buzzer. The "laser" sound is similar to a digitized, video-game gun. I just don't think that is appropriate for use in a school. Perhaps I am being too cautious, but I will not use that buzzer in my own classroom due to concerns regarding its inappropriate-for-school nature.

Very Nice and enjoyable for the students!
I played with it twice already! I love how it lights up and makes it easier for me to decide who hit the buzzer first. It adds excitement to the lesson the kids LOVE it! Three disadvantages I found were the volume which is not super high, the fact the sometimes it gets stuck, and most importantly the lack of an on/off switch. I needed to use a screw driver to open and close it when in use or not. When you put it in your bag it makes noises - because it is continuously on- which makes for a few embarrassing encounters where my backpack just made uncontrollable sounds. Other than that -GET IT! it is worth it!

Fun!
Sound is loud and not able to adjust BUT these are intended to be used on a flat surface which would muffle/lessen the volume somewhat. They still are crisp and easy to hear. My kids love the different sounds! I have 3 kids and I plan to use these as buzzers for homeschool games and just fun activities. They will each get their own designated buzzer and there's one that sounds like a nice that means you got something wrong so maybe I'll keep that one for myself. So fun!!! I got these used like new and they were in perfect condition. They do require batteries so keep that in mind, but there is a screw to keep the battery compartment closed.

Great for quiz and trivia games
I got these buzzers here on Amazon. Each one has a distinctive sound and color. Sounds include a siren, the "charge," a lazer and a buzz. They yellow one sounds like something in "Star Wars." If you're playing a game like "Jeopardy" these come in handy. Each rings on its own. There's no way to sync them up to "lock out" the others, but if you're playing a game where you need people to ring or buzz in, try these. They helped me the one time I played Jeopardy with them. They also add a fun element and can make a game more "official."

I've bought these three times now. Will again.
I use these for youth group games. Lots of ways to use them - just be creative! I've had them knocked around, thrown around, and beaten up, and they keep working far longer than I expected. We've had a few dropped from heights or actually smashed, and they do quit under those circumstances. But they're cheap to replace! The lights and sounds are great, and the fun is wonderful.

Once assembled, the buzzers are cool and useful. They do NOT come with batteries and, in order to insert said batteries, one must u screw teeny tiny nails. Really impractical!

I bought these to be used when I'm training Pet First Aid. The idea is that at the end of the course we have a quiz. It's more fun to have people compete and try and win, rather than just handing out a test for them to fill in. The problem with the type of quiz we play is that there is a lot of shouting and noise (otherwise it's boring). I was a little worried that these buzzers wouldn't be heard over all the noise, but they have actually done a really great job. They don't weigh very much, yet they feel solid and take a fair pounding from crazed adults. They light up when pressed, and they each have their own distinct noise. All in all, they are exactly what you'd want. Just pop in a couple of AAA batteries (I've used rechargeables that I also bought from Amazon) and away you go. If you were playing with kids, or even training adults like me, they are a good buy. There are some other options out there with different colours and noises but I can't rate them, only the Red, Yellow, Blue and Green ones that I picked up.
