For making a perfect mint julep! This hammer & bag combo is the way to go for crushed ice! You feel mighty and all powerful wielding this wooden mallet, be careful with its power as it is not a toy. I've made many a perfect mint julep using these devices, they've held up well. Easy to clean and very easy to store away. Very easy to use - fill bag almost full with ice, then proceed to wack with mallet until satisfied.

This is a high quality tool to make crushed ice for those summer drinks. The mallet is perfect weight and size, the canvas bag is well made and and of high quality material. Just be careful about the size, this bag can only hold enough ice for maybe 1 drink, so if you want to make more at one time, get a larger bag. Otherwise, we love this product and use it often.

I love this set as the palm wood hammer is so pretty and does an amazing job at breaking up my ice cubes into useable pieces. its easy to store and can contain alot of ice.

This lewis bag and mallet set by Viski are really easy and fun to use! The wooden mallet is a little larger than I expected it to be and canvas bag is a tad smaller than I expected. Having taken a *literal* beating through crushing ice for probably a dozen Mai Tais, neither the mallet nor the bag show any signs of wear. The Lewis bag's seams seem to be holding. If I were planning a party around crushed ice cocktails (e.g., a tropical "Tiki" theme), I would plan to crack multiple gallon-size freezer bags full of ice in advance of the event and store them in the freezer. For smaller gatherings, Viski's Lewis bag and mallet set is a great addition to the showmanship aspect of entertaining with cocktails and I enjoy cracking ice in front of my guests as part of the presentation. It is great fun and everyone gets a kick out of it. Every home cocktail enthusiast should have one!

Very high-quality product with authentic materials used. However, the ice bag was smaller than my expectations so be wary of that. But it is still an amazing product! The quality of the hammer is truly well crafted and done to perfection.

Simple and effective. Very well balanced hammer, beautiful wood, nice to the touch.

Works really well, not much to it really, just add ice to bag and pound but, it has a great feel / look and weight and performs it's function really well.
