Hirsch has a one year manufacturer warranty against defects, does not apply to wear and tear.

As others have said, the strap is made from quality leather and probale handle getting soaked as well as any other tanner leather.

Na, but it's pretty simple. If don't already have one, get a spring-bar toolset (link below). Depending on your watch, this should allow you to remove the spring bars from both of it's sides. Slide off the current strap and slide on the Hirsch. Use the tool to reattach the spring bar. Make sure you put the buckle side of the strap on the top part of your watch.
