I purchased it because I've been a mob fanatic since I was a child and have followed all of the old and new Gangster movies, chronicles and T.V. shows. I was also writing a screenplay and needed this encyclopedia to help with my research. Amazon and it's wonderful "We think you might like this" based on my past searches recommended MY BOOK! I hadn't thought about this book since I lost it and it brought me a whole new level of joy to see that it was still in print! I couldn't afford the brand new soft cover, but I was thrilled that a "gently used" hard cover was available. It arrived in excellent condition. A little discoloration from age but that wasn't an issue at all.
