Noel Joy is just around the corner when Susan Sarandon, Penelope Cruz, Paul Walker, and Alan Arkin fill out an all-star cast in this holiday classic. As five strangers come together on Christmas Eve, a story of peace, companionship, comfort, love, and healing unfolds against the backdrop of New York City. A Christmas Without Snow A divorced woman moves to a new city with her child, trying to build her life again. She joins the choir of a local church but has some personality conflicts with the choirmaster, a curmudgeonly old gentleman who will accept nothing but perfection from his group. As Christmas approaches and the choir practices for a big show and the director pushes them all to their emotional limits, she contemplates quitting the group. Little Women: Jo s Story Jo's story is one of adventure and love. When Jo misses out on a trip to Europe, she decides to move to New York to become a writer. While in New York she find some success and meets the love of her life, a literature professor. Jo's Story is part of an Emmy Winning TV series that featured performances from some of the top talent that Broadway and Hollywood had to offer like Mary Sinclair, Nancy Marchand and John Brooke. Little Women: Meg's Story Meg's story is about family, perseverance and unconditional love. Meg's father goes off to fight in the civil war leaving her and her sisters to run the household. While her father is away, Meg falls in love with her neighbor and agrees to marry him. They try to keep their engagement a secret but eventaully they are discovered. Review: Noel/smas without snow/Meg's Story/Jo's Story 4 pack - I purchased the product because I wanted the Noel movie starring Susan Sarandon, one of my favorite actresses. Also, part of the movie is filmed in Manhattan in the South Street Seaport area, near where I was employed for many years, so it brings back pleasant memories. Robin Williams surprised me by acting well in a very serious role. I haven't seen the other 3 films in the pack,but Noel alone is worth the bargain price. The resolution (picture quality) is not the best, but it is what is to be expected when you buy a "4 pack". I first saw Noel on Netflix and have since seen it 3 more times. Noel/smas without snow/Meg's Story/Jo's Story 4 pack
I purchased the product because I wanted the Noel movie starring Susan Sarandon, one of my favorite actresses. Also, part of the movie is filmed in Manhattan in the South Street Seaport area, near where I was employed for many years, so it brings back pleasant memories. These four movies have exactly what you are looking for on a holiday dvd:warm family stories with a hint of a Christmas miracle. "Noel" adds a contemporary twist to the classic happy ending :"Meg" and "Jo "revisit two old,familiar friends for the holidays ;and "Christmas without Snow "provides a low key problem/resolution that warms the heart with seasonal flavour.Christmas movies should be comfortable and easy to watch, satisfying in a 'home for Christmas' way. These four movies don't disappoint and provide great value for the money.

One Out of Four Movies I Liked... Not So Good!
The only movie that I enjoyed on this DVD was A Christmas Without Snow. Michael Learned and John Houseman were both very good in this film. It is believable (given the 80's time frame it's set in), at times heartwarming and definitely suitable family entertainment. There is a message in this story (several actually) and that's what I like to see when it comes to Christmas movies. The movie Noel was very disappointing. Except for Susan Sarandon, I thought the rest of the cast did a less than stellar job in this one. The acting seemed contrived and lacking. And I definitely would not classify this as family fare, especially for young children. SPOILER: A guy going to a thug to get his hand broken to remember a Christmas when he was left in a hospital, Penelope Cruz strutting around in a scanty outfit doing a "dirty dance" type tango....disjointed story lines and no good message except for the ending at the hospital with Susan's mother and doctor, that was ok. The other 2 classic "Little Women" films did not appeal so I probably won't bother with these. OK but not great.

Great movie, bad dvd
Noel deserves 5 stars. It is an wonderful movie, and I always end up crying during various parts. However, don't be tempted by the price and buy this copy. The DVD forces you to watch commercial/previews.... No skipping ahead, no fast forward, no main menu.... In fact, I was just trying to watch this dvd for the first time, and I gave up. I've seen DVDs that have the skipping ahead option blocked, but fast forward should never be blocked, in my opinion. (I let someone else borrow this dvd, and they had the same issues.) Going to buy a different copy now.
