Excellent product. Addendum 8/1/21
We inherited a pool with the purchase of our home. I quickly had to learn to be a pool owner. Our first season was miserable. With a DE filter and too many trees nearby, the pollen and other debris very quickly made the DE useless and required back washing and recharging a biweekly task, if I was lucky. At the start of last season, I discussed this with the local pool place and the recommended a pool skimmer filter sock. $15 for a five pack seemed steep, but holy cow, what a difference. The original pack got me through the season and saved my constant DE changes. I was sold on using these. Worn from several months of use, (3 of the 5 fairly ragged) I turned to Amazon for replacement. I certainly didn’t want to spend that kind of money again (at the local place) unless I had to. On Amazon I found this 20 pack of Vivibyan pool skimmer socks. Two thirds the cost and 4 times the quantity, but I didn’t know what I’d be receiving. What I did receive was product that is every bit as good as what I used last year, in fact even better. I’ve been using the same sock over and over to really see what it’s got and after just over a week of being taken out rinsed and reassembled, it looks nearly the same as new. As you can see from the two pictures, the basket handle bar has not even begin to put a hole through the mesh. It rinses clean easily and has held up extremely well. The ones from last year quickly made a hole in the area and I just lined up the holes to prevent creating new ones each time. The holes grew and I rotated the sock just to start the process over eventually making them unusable. These new ones seem much more durable. I am extremely pleased with the product and would certainly recommend them and buy them again myself. However, since I have 20 of them I do not see myself having to purchase them again for a couple of years. To top it all off, Prime One Day Delivery had them in use in less than 24 hours from when I ordered them. July 2 update: I set up two baskets to swap out one after the other each day. I used the last sock left over from last season and one of these. You’ll see the pictures. The one with all the holes is the old one and the one without is the new one. They were both used for 6 weeks straight alternating one for the other daily and were rinsed and reused. Both when through the washer twice, after three weeks. The one that cost much more from the pool center is full of holes and in its last leg. The one from this 20 pack looks almost new. No comparison. August 2021 update. The prior socks from I bought from the pool store are shot. The new one is still going strong.

Pleasantly surprised
I wanted to add stabilizer to my pool, but it doesn’t dissolve quickly and ended up in my filter. I read online to use a sock in the skimmer. I was thinking a gym sock, but found these pool socks on Amazon. It worked perfectly allowing the stabilizer to dissolve. In addition, it blocks a lot of dirt from getting to my filter, allowing me to clean the filter less frequently and make my pump more efficiently. Just have to change the sock every couple of days.

Great, must have item!
Everyone with a pool should use skimmer socks. They catch all the fine debris before it goes through your filter. Then you do not need to back wash as often. You can rinse and reuse but for the cost I just toss them out and use a new one.

Stretchy pool socks!
These pool socks are nicer than ones I have ordered in the past. I don't know what they are made of, but they have more stretch and are a finer mesh than others I have tried. That makes them easier to get on and off with larger diameter skimmer baskets, like mine. They stop leaves and debris and do a good job of collecting the film of pollen that lands on the surface of the pool. The inside of the sock does gap a little away from the edge with a straight edge skimmer, but I don't find it to be an issue and all brands seem to do the same thing if you put the socks on the inside. This can be avoided by putting the socks on the outside instead, if it matters to you.

Excellent
Who thought of this, I'm jealous. This is the greatest move since the wheel. It kept from throwing that Armour Oil car vacuum I got for Christmas. Now it picks up like a Dyson. I'm happy. Good price, and I have enough for the rest of my life.

Catches most things in pool
Love these things. I just heard about them and thought I would try them. These are fantastic, at the end of the day it’s full of bugs and dirt and anything else floating in the pool . I just remove and rinse with the hose. My pool has never been cleaner.

Beware!
I purchased these after many pool owners touted how great they were. Unfortunately, the sock was almost too effective. Because of the leaf debris in my pool, the sock quickly became clogged which caused the pool pump to pull the entire skimmer basket down into the skimmer assembly. I had to break the basket to get it out. I would imagine these would do great if you don't have leaves that quickly clog your system. But if you do, I would skip these.
