Makes super clean cuts! No vinyl peeling. I love it! I bought a used Curio 1, and I only make vinyl stickers for myself. With the original steel cutter, many times it would peel off the vinyl as it was cutting. Even with Curio's Speed and Force decreased to 1. Over time I learned to clean the steel blade after each cut to minimize the vinyl from peeling. No need with this Carbide cutter! I printed out a test and forgot to decrease the speed and force, and it cut like butter with no peeling!

I purchased one to try as the reviews seem to be all over the place. Well, I'm definitely buying another and if that one is as good, I'll keep buying them. I haven't gotten too far into Vinyl yet but I am an avid papercrafter with my Silhouette Cameo 2. As of late, the Silhouette Ratchet blades just aren't lasting when cutting cardstock anymore. For Mother's day, I made 2 really involved paper craft projects. The first one used 9 sheets of 12x12 80lb cardstock, 3 sheets of 12x12 pattern paper and about a 1/4 of sheet of 100lb 8.5x11 cardstock. That project alone killed 2 ratchet blades! Really annoying, even when considering I purchase them regularly on Amazon's Subscribe and Save, of which makes them far cheaper than purchasing anywhere else! That's when I decided to try the Premium blade. Well, the next project used 11.5 sheets of 80lb 12x12 cardstock, 5 sheets of 12x12 patterned paper, 5 sheets of 29lb 8.5x11 vellum, and 7 sheets of 12x12 glitter cardstock (not the smooth, thin glitter cardstock... we're talking the rough, like sandpaper, thick glitter cardstock (the paper studio to be exact))! And the blade is still going strong! Oh and I love that it doesn't matter what way you put this blade into the Silhouette Cameo machine... it just works! It doesn't have a fin (like the ratchet blade). A couple of people mentioned (in reviews) that you can't take the end off and clean out around the blade... so not true! I will say, it is far more difficult to get the end of the blade unscrewed to do so, but you can (and I did after every sheet of glitter cardstock). I actually needed to use a small pair of needle-nose pliers to get a good grip but it does come off. Watch your fingers though, the blade adjusts much easier with this one, so you want to be sure you don't stab yourself! Thus far, I'm thoroughly impressed and plan to continue using these Premium blades. If I run into any issues in the future, I'll try and update this review to reflect.

Perfect fit

This blade was much easier to use than the previous played that I had in the machine. I have one of the original silhouette cameos and had the deep cut blade in it which was not really intended for it. So it was a bit tricky to get the cut depth to the right setting because the machine itself doesn't have a setting for a deep cut blade. When I purchased this played it was a no-brainer very easy to use and the cut settings in the machine itself match up a lot better than previous. I would highly recommend this blade to anybody looking for and easy-to-use straightforward cutting blade for the Silhouette Cameo.

This blade seems to cut small and fine details significantly better than the standard Cameo blade. It's a little trickier to get little bits of vinyl out that get into the blade, but otherwise this is a huge improvement. Additionally even when little bits do get in the blade it doesn't seem to affect the cut as often as with the standard blade. What I can't understand is why Cameo even sells the standard blade, what is the point of selling a product that essentially doesn't work when they have one that does work...they need to do their consumers right and ditch the old standard blade and include this one with all Cameo purchases.

I have a silhouette 2 and this blade has been the best one I've used yet. I recommend it to anyone sick of constantly replacing blades. It cuts smoothly and true. I have used it on extremely intricate work and I have had no issues. I highly recommend it with the circut smart vinyl.

This blade is a game changer for me. I work on a Silhouette Cameo 2 (no bluetooth no touchscreen its about 5 years old) and I cut chipboard shapes for thread bobbins. A LOT of chipboard shapes and each sheet of 12 x 12 has to be run though the Cameo twice on double cut. With the old style blades I could cut 3 sheets cleanly and get another 5 partial sheets which got progressively harder to clean up before the blade had to be replaced. It was frustrating work. This blade not only works just fine in my Cameo (despite being designed for the newer all singing all dancing Curio) but it has allowed me to more than double my productivity. I cut 15 sheets cleanly, ** UPDATE I have now cut 25 sheets cleanly with the same blade** reducing my work load and frustration levels enormously. Essentially I'm getting so much more out of each blade at not that much of a price difference that I don't bother continuing to cut and clean up the chipboard spools beyond that. Highly recommended. I can only imagine how long this blade would last on vinyl or regular cardstock. :) Happy coustomer.

These work very well but considering I go through them relatively quickly cutting cardstock, they're pretty pricey..
