Short, easy read that explores the fundamentals of becoming, developing, and retaining leaders.  Great insights that can be immediately applied in any leadership position.  The author uses personal experiences to relate leadership practices to real life situations.  He details the characteristics it takes to be a leader, how to communicate and support your teams, and the importance of implementing a leadership development program for your organization.  Other key take-a-ways around process discipline and knowledge management that can be applied to any organization.  Overall, a great read!

This book has fundamentally changed the way I see and do business on a day to day basis. Tony hit home with the fact that Leaders should serve their subordinates and not vice versa. This mentality (or Leadership Dark Matter) allows for synergy and prosperity within the organization. Ive always tried to lead by example, however, I was not always the best delegator. A very well written book that explains the benefits in focusing on people rather than the organizational output. True leaders continue to learn and grow to better their ability to lead. Tony Marinello captures these thoughts and ideas from his experience as both a former Soldier and now corporate worker. I can appreciate his points of view and will garner the suggestions written by this young man. Keep up the great work and I’m excited for book number two. Thank you for your service and sharing these fascinating ideas.
