New Balance Women's 411 V2 Walking Shoes

I did a Google search for "ideal walking shoes for women" and this model came up as one of the top 10 in 2019 reviews. It was also recommended by the American Diabetes Assn. and tagged as especially good for overweight walkers. I'm not diabetic but I am overweight and have been challenged with foot/ankle pain when walking, so I really wanted to find a shoe that would let me walk as much as possible. Well, this shoe does not disappoint. I ordered my usual size and it fit perfectly right out of the box. The arch support is in exactly the right spot and the toe box provides plenty of room without being sloppy. And what a dream to walk in! They are lightweight and springy. They fully cushion the heel strike and the rocking motion of the sole sort of "propels" my foot forward into the next stride. So many shoes I've tried in the past made me feel like I'm walking uphill or in soft sand, making them seem really heavy and causing my feet and lower legs to tire quickly. But with these I feel like I can walk forever. The one thing I'll say is that my heel does slip in them very slightly, which kind of surprised me because I've historically preferred New Balance shoes over other brands because they usually provide a glove-like fit. But the slipping is very minor, not so much that I feel like I'm going to step out of them or causing me to have to compensate my stride in any way, so it really isn't bothersome and I suspect it will go away when I have the shoes fully broken in. I've had "walking" shoes that cost twice as much that are just sitting unused in my shoe rack because they're so unsuited to the task . These New Balance Women's WW411v2 Walking Shoes are perfect for walking and a really good buy. I'm so happy that I've finally found the shoe that will help me get the exercise I've been needing!

Love this sneaker, fits good and comfortable. But somehow I ordered 3 pair instead of 1. So sent other 2 pair back today and got refunded for 1. OMG, Made a call got my other refund. Its a dam shame from the time I dropped of package at the United States Post Office and 4pm someone in PO or however the package was delivered back to amazon, Someone stole a pair of sneaker. I am very upset cause I sent back 2 pairs of sneakers. Amazon THANK YOU FOR MY REFUND and I hope you investigate and FIRE THE PERSON WHO STOLE IT EVEN IF HE WORKS FOR THE POST OFFICE. I should have taken video of me dropping it off at post office showing the 2 pair of sneakers in the package. This world is MISSED UP.

I started ordering this particular shoe about two years ago and now they are the ONLY shoes I order (black ones which look good enough with dress slacks to pass for church and other occasions), and white for everyday use. They are comfortable and wear well. I order a new pair every six months so I keep the older pair of white ones for everyday until they wear out and wear the newer pair out of the house, always having two pair on hand. The black ones I only need to replace every two years as I don't wear them near as often. I would highly recommend this walking shoe!

This brand was recommended to me heartily, and after I bought the shoe I realized why--the person who recommended it has freakishly wide feet. I felt like my toes were rattling around in there. They're fairly comfortable and seemed to cushion my feet just fine, but were nothing special. They lasted through about eight months of daily walks, and then the side split where the ball of the foot pivots, letting in moisture. If you have freakishly wide feet, this may be your shoe of choice. As for me, I found them nothing special and am glad to go back to the Reeboks I prefer. But they did the job and the break-in time was minimal.

I normally wear a size 8 & 1/2 wide, but ordered up a half size. I wanted the extra room for walking down steep hills - I didn’t want my toes hitting the end of the shoe. I also wanted room for my plantar fasciitis inserts and bands. I’m still limping around but I feel that these shoes are giving me the support I need to heal. They do seem a little loose in the heel, but hard to tell with the limping I am doing. I’m not having any discomfort from the heel feeling loose. Overall I give these shoes a 5 star for comfort and value. They fit my wide feet perfectly.

I love, love this shoe! In fact I bought multiple pairs. I now own 2 pairs of the white, 1 in black, and 1 in the grey, which is more blue than grey. The so called grey ones go very well with jeans. I am a retired teacher, but I walk a lot, especially when traveling to Japan. I bought an extra pair in white so I would have a spare later. These give great support, especially when I walked around Disney Japan for about 12 hours. They are not multicolored as so many athletic shoes are today, but they go well with whatever clothing I choose to wear. You can change them up by using colored shoelaces also. They offer an ample toe box and great support for someone like me who has had foot surgery and both knees replaced. And the laces stay tied! I have had sneakers by Nike, Reebok, Vionic, and Asics where the laces will not stay tied. It is very aggravating!! I really hope this model shoe by New Balance is around for a long time.

I love the comfort and support of these shoes. I am a daily walker and they have felt perfect from day one. Only criticism - the "leather/pleather" material is yellowing already (1 week of wear) - it is not bright white as when I received. Also this new material is harder. I have worn NB for several years and my last pair that lasted many years, was leather and got softer with the years. This looks like a much cheaper material.😔

My husband has been having some foot and leg pain and decided to give these shoes a shot after he saw a glowing recommendation for them. He received his shoes and absolutely LOVED them, so I thought, what the heck? So I ordered myself a pair. THEY are AWESOME! So glad I bought these shoes. They really are super comfy. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and ankle pain and these were comfortable, albeit a bit narrow, straight out of the box. The width didn't bother me at all though, so unless you have really wide feet, I think these would do great for you. Definitely the best walking shoe I have ever had. You really can't go wrong with New Balance!!
