Works like any other similarly designed bore sighter
I got this to replace old one I inadvertently ruined by forgetting to remove AAA battery. Corroded beyond repair. This one works just fine. Be sure not to lose the instruction sheet. It has a table telling you which arbor corresponds to your caliber. The arbors have small numbers identifying them. The ones on the four smallest ones are so tiny it was easier to tell just by laying them out by size. Once you get to arbor 5, the numbers are easier to see. The extra included battery is a very nice touch as is the included small screwdriver. I measured out 58 feet from door to far end of house and used that as reference for beam pics. Kind of interesting. Not a circle but an oval .60 inches by .40 inches.

Well made and perfect green laser!
Came well packaged. Came with everything I needed to bore sight my 9mm with a red dot optic. I installed it properly in the barrel and it doesn’t move. I don’t know why people are saying that the laser moves when the bore sight is turned, because it doesn’t. I put the end on a vice and turned it. Laser was aligned and spot on and in the same spot every time. It’s easy to use and clear instructions. Come with extra battery too. The laser is super bright and clear. Perfect focused circle! ⭕️ The green laser contrasts PERFECTLY against the red dot sight. If you're on the fence about this laser, don’t be. Just buy it.

Very Adequate For What It Costs
This is an inexpensive laser bore sight tool, but it gets the job done. Don't expect it to be as accurate as the more expensive models and you'll be pleased with it. There are a half dozen or so little adapters that come with it, and the instructions tell you what caliber range each one fits (they are all in US imperial measurements, so you'll need to convert that to millimeters on occasion). None of the adapters are labeled, not even with a little number to correspond to the instructions that shows each adapter with a number beside it, so don't lose the little directions that come with this. I just laid all of the adapters out from largest to smallest to help me find the one that fits the caliber range I'm trying to sight in. They work by threading the adapter in at the end of the bore sight by hand until the plastic on the adapter just seats on the plastic of the bore sight. You then insert the end of the bore sight into your barrel and check for play; if there is too much play, pull out the bore sight and tighten the small philips head screw a little at a time. This causes the plastic on the little adapter to compress into the bore sight and the adapter expands. You do that until you can insert the bore sight into the barrel and you remove as much play as possible without making it impossible to insert into the barrel. Don't try to force it into the barrel if it won't fit, you'll just break the little adapter, they are pretty fragile. Remember, this just gets you into the ballpark. Make sure you are trying to sight in at the distance you want to zero your irons or optic at. I recommend resting the f*rearm on something stable and stationary while doing this, it will help you avoid some frustration. Just to give you an idea of how much wiggle room there is for where the bore sight is telling you the POI is and where the round will actually go, try rotating the bore sight while it's in the barrel and you can watch the dot move on the target as you do so. This won't help you get your sights dialed in exactly, but it will get you pretty close and save you a lot of ammo compared to doing it the old fashioned way.

Should have bought one years ago!!
OK, I just picked this up today. I bought it to help sight in my new Holosun SCS green dot on my Glock 45. I had taken it to the range a few days ago and I knew I had my dot close. When I put the bore sight on it showed my dot was about 3 inches low but on center. I was shooting low the other day and didn't know if it was me or I needed more adjustment. This confirmed I need to bring my dot up. I'll be going back to the range this week and see how it did. This kit is awesome. It only took me about 15 minutes to setup and adjust my sight. The tool is bright and fit snugly in the barrel with no issues of moving around. Well worth the money! I should have bought one years ago.

Surprising distance
I can’t speak to the accuracy of this bore sight kit, but the green laser/light is powerful! We tested it out in the dark, pointed it out our back window, and the light went past our backyard, through a large church parking lot, across a street, and onto another house. I wish I could quantify the distance for you, but in summary: impressive!

Does the job. Spend the extra money for one with a case
Worked ok. Does it get the job done? Yes. Brightness is ok during daylight. Ended up returning it for one, the Brightness, i felt it could have been brighter, and second just simply didn't like the fact the bore tips are in a plastic bag so you gotta dig around til you find the appropriate size. I ended up spending the extra money on a different bore sight laser, that one being a green laser as opposed to this red one and is way brighter, and comes organized in a carrying case with all the tips in there own foam holder so no more baggy

Get's the job done
Very useful and good to know that I am a bad shot, just not as much as I thought. My red dot was shooting way off. The pros are the number of calibers you can use this for. Cons are if u twist the laser while it's in the barrel, the laser will not point true center, slightly off, but it still gets the job done. Overall, I am satisfied with just using the arrow as my indicator of how to calibrate it.
