I very recently purchased these for my 3 year old who loves baseball! I thought it would be practically the perfect toy! And, so far, he is in love. He has been playing with them for hours and hours. I love that he uses his imagination so much (he talks for the guys, and creates different scenarios). We haven't had them for but a day, but so far they seem fairly durable. I don't feel like they're going to crumble in my hand. I'm sure they'll last his rough play for a few years. I was even impressed that the field it comes with is pretty thick felt. I was honestly just expecting some cheap plastic or paper field. So, that was a huge plus! Also, the storage container they come in is great. One less thing I have to worry about finding a home for...one thing my kids are not great at is keeping like toys together. So, the fact it comes with a plastic storage case that seems pretty strong is also a huge plus!! I don't think I have a single negative really about this product. I am so happy with the purchase! And, even better, he (and my 6 year old daughter and *ahem* my husband) can play with it for longer than 2 minutes and have fun!!

Our young (ages 8 and 3) grandsons absolutely LOVE this toy. It's an old-fashioned "Use your imagination" action-packed teaching tool. It comes with a large green felt baseball diamond. Children can learn all the players' positions on the team and there's even an umpire to position behind home plate! Our grands have a blast pitting the red team against the blue team as the sturdy, well-made baseball guys assume their positions. This toy is all about allowing kids to make up their own fantasy baseball games and the best thing about it -- no computers involved. Highly recommend it!

I bought this for an Elf in the Shelf baseball scene. The figurines don’t sit flat without some bending/adjusting, but I got them to work. All in all I would recommend this set.

Great set of figures for kids to play with. I can still remember playing with my set of plastic army men when I was small. All of my kids absolutely love sports and we wondered if he would like this set for a gift. No doubt, he does. He carries it everywhere. When our older boys are playing basketball or baseball, he is in the stands playing with each of the action figures and using his imagination. The toys are big enough where I am not worrie about a choking hazard, but small enough to fit in the box and not be a chore to lug around. They have two separate teams within the box with plenty of action figures to make up their own scenarios. The scoreboard is able to be changed with innings and score, which makes it even more fun for the kids. I would likely recommend ages 4-9yo as likely best age for gift. I know they have a football and basketball kit also as our boys saw another boy playing with one in the stands before we ended up buying one.

We've got three little boys, ages 8, 5 & 3, who love the hockey, soccer, football & baseball guys. For little ones who like "guys", these toys really encourage imaginative play... for us, preferred over video games or movies... very fun to watch. The main reason I'm providing a review is to detail how I was able to 'fix' the only problem we've had with the 'guy' series... Inevitably, one or more of the guys will show up unable to stand up, either because his base is 'warped' or he's bent at an angle that won't allow him to stay upright. This also works for guys who are holding bent bats, hockey sticks, etc... Heat a pot of water to just about boiling. Immerse the portion of the 'warped' guy in the hot water for about 30 seconds. Stand the guy up in the sink on a plate or some other flat surface and hold him up in the preferred position. Run cold water over the guy for about 15 sec. Once you've run the cold water over the guy, this effectively 'resets' the position of the guy. If you haven't got the guy 'just right', you can do it over. There shouldn't be a problem with repeated temperature excursions. Some pointers; Standard warnings about working with hot liquids... should only be done by an adult or supervised. Be careful! Don't immerse your hand in the hot water. Don't immerse the whole guy, just the part you're trying to fix. If you need to fix the base as well as a bat or other spot, do them separately. We got this set of Baseball Guys for our almost 6 year old son for Christmas. He's a huge baseball fanatic, and this toy was perfect for him. He'd been using his superhero guys to play baseball so he was ecstatic to be able to use real baseball guys. The only thing that would make this set better would be to have moveable joints to position the players however he wants them. His 7th birthday was just on Jan 22, and we just had a baseball party at an indoor batting cage, and of course the cake was a baseball diamond with 5 of these baseball guys on top! I almost think he picked the theme to his party based on having these guys on a cake! The Kaskey Kids company has terrific customer service too. Our set came without an umpire, and when I e-mailed them about this, they immediately sent one out to us. You don't see great customer service like this anymore, so it was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend buying from Kaskey Kids, and this set in particular. Great for letting kid's imaginations run wild.
