Great Panel, Great Price
A good panel, per manufacturer supports unlimited tandem breakers which saved me having to buy a sub panel. It is a bottom fed panel but can be used as a top fed either with their $20 tunnel kit or without it depending on your home. I would have paid $100 more for a copper busbar, but I looked everywhere for a good outdoor panel, solar ready, 225 amp, with a meter socket - and this was the only one that fit the bill. Very happy with it so far.I went with a licensed electrician I found on Craigslist for the install ($1500 and about 5 hours total) and that was about $3000 less expensive than the other quotes I got. If you are in Orange County CA I can get you his contact info.

This is a great panel if you are hooking up to an existing underground service feed. The junction box at the bottom left is used for the utility connection and the meter is on the lower right hand side. The junction box under the meter is for any wiring coming from the bottom and has a tunnel thru the meter socket to reach the distribution section. This design is ideal if you need a lot of room at the top because the entire upper breaker section can be used. However, I would not recommend this panel for an overhead service because the large wires need to pass thru the breaker section using a not included tunnel kit. If the tunnel kit is out of stock thru Amazon good luck because you will not find this at your local Home Depot or Lowes. The panel I would rate 5 stars if used with an underground feed but like the previous review the shipping is ridiculous. The panel is heavy and it looks like it was shipped in wrapping paper, fell off the airplane, and then got run over by the delivery truck. Out of need I have ordered 5 panel from Amazon this year and I have sent them all back but one. The one I keep was also beat up but I could not wait for a replacement and pounded out the bent frame and dents and touched up with paint. This panel should be shipped in a suitable box with Styrofoam. I need another one now but Amazon has only one in stock with more on the way and I am afraid of getting another damaged one. Its unfortunate because I will pick up one from a local supplier and pay around $50 more.

the panel is fine, IF
the panel is fine, IF, you can bend it back into shape...the delivery I received I had to send back because it looked like it fell off of every truck that shipped it....the second one looked even WORSE. The product is good for my needs but I wouldn't suggest ordering it through the mail...it is just too bulky and heavy and by the time you get it through "shipping" it will seem as if it fell off of an aircraft in flight. I, fortunately, was able to "pound" the bends and dents out and made it an acceptable upgrade for my home electrical service. Still waiting for the "inspector's final acceptance"...Let me be clear, it is NOT that this is a bad service, it is quite excellent quality...it is the damage it will suffer during shipping!

Five Stars
It worked fine just doesn't have feed through lugs to go to a sub panel
