Saw a groomer using one of these and knew I had to have! I was correct! The flexible handle allows you to brush through long double-coat without grabbing and pulling like a regular long tooth slicker brush. Makes quicker work of a full grooming session and dog enjoys it! Pekingese lovers out there...try it!! UPDATE: So, yes, this is still one of my favorite tools but I think I would prefer it be one sided. I have found that occasionally the teeth on the opposite side of the brush pull the hair while I am using the black side. I try to bend them away but it still happens. I haven't found a one sided version yet. Any groomers that know of any, please post!

First of all, this is a phenomenal brush, and I don't know why I didn't buy one sooner. Goes through long hair coats like a dream, and helps get to that undercoat and compacted areas. I see people reviewing that it's great for mats? And just want to say this isn't the right tool for matting..... But! It's worked great for undercoats that have gotten a little compacted! My favorite thing is that the black side's bristles are a little bit more coarse and firm, while the white side's is a smidge bit more fine and flexible. This is perfect for different breeds that have thin or thick coats! Or even working on more sensitive spots in a dog with thick fur. I love the flexibility in a single tool to function well for different long haired breeds. 10/10

I normally don't do reviews , but I felt the need to brag about this slicker brush. I have 2 toy schnauzers. One of them has fur almost like cotton. Her hair mats so bad that it's almost impossible to get the mats out. One groomer even shaved her because she was so matted. I started using a new groomer, and she introduced me to this fabulous double sided flexible slicker brush. It is truly amazing. Sadi no longer has a problem with me brushing her and it takes half the time I used to spend on her. Also the bristles are different on both sides. It seems that one is a little more firm than the other but neither one seems to scratch the skin making one happy fur baby when finished. I highly recommend this grooming tool!
