Curlsmith Curl Defining Styling Soufflé - Vegan Medium Hold Styling Gel for Wavy, Curly and Kinky Hair (237ml)

This deserves more than 5 stars tbh. I have lots of wavy, fine strands of hair. My wave is probably 2a but is very inconsistent and hard to give body to. Using this as per the instructions gives me consistent and resilient waves that are more like 2b. Best piece of advice I can give: DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THE CAST. This product is SUPPOSED to make your curls stiff and crispy; with just 10 minutes of scrunching out when your hair is dry, the cast will disappear. Think of it like a plaster-cast that helps form the shape of the curls beneath that you then break away. I have very fine hair that gets greasy super quickly, but this cast comes out perfectly in my hair with no lingering product. You would never even know it had been there. Even more amazingly — yesterday I went walking on a windy beach, slept on my hair during the night, and my waves were still perfect the next day. This is unheard of. I have never liked my hair, it is messy and frizzy and fine and the waves seem random and can't be easily tamed. Honestly this gives me the hair I've always wanted. I can't find a single fault with it. Worth the price 100%, I promise.

Gives a good cast and doesn't leave a white residue in the hair or clothes. Brushes out leaving soft hair and reactivates with water.

I have thick wavy/curly, 40/60 grey/natural hair. The soufflé has worked well for me. I dislike my hair feeling full of product, so only use leave in conditioner and soufflé. The wavy parts are more curl and the curly parts very curly. It holds all day and the next day, thou looser (I struggle with refresh). It doesn’t feel sticky or weight my hair down. It does dry in a cast, but disappears once cast is broken. The smell is ok.

The curlsmith products are fantastic. I use them personally and professionally. The souflee in particular is one of my favourites. Ideal for curly/coily hair with great longevity. Creates a good cast which scrunches out well.

The gel is good but not a fan of the smell, it smells gingery which is strong and pungent

I have thick medium length 2c coarse greying hair which due to the menopause seems to be getting much dryer and difficult to manage. I've tried loads of prducts over the years ranging from those designed for afro type hair to really expensive 'miracle cures' with very limited results. This was my last hope before having it all cut off into a short style and I'm so pleased!! The product is jelly like in consistency and is very easy to apply. Theres no greasiness/heaviness at all and the smell is very mild. I'm now hardly using any other products between washes and my scalp no longer gets itchy from previous product buildup. Definitely recommend!!!!

If you have curly or wavy hair buy it. This product was a game changer for me. It makes my curls hold like a mousse would but doesn't dry my hair out. It is pricey but it lasts for a 2-3 months. Your curls will thank you.

Instant melting in hand, good moist and texture, good value for money. One down side, difficult to scoop with fingers as is very jellylike. May be to change container to tube. The product is excellent. I recommend it.
