LEGO Creator Harley-Davidson Fat Boy 10269 (1023 Pieces)

Very impressive out of the box, instructions are very well planned and concise. Very intriguing and innovative assembly. I'm always in awe of the interaction of all the pieces and don't take the designers skills for granted, kudos to them! Very solid build and can take handling without pieces popping off as you work. Pistons worked flawlessly, great rear fork hinge assembly. There are very few repeat parts and steps, not boring. I really took my time enjoying the process and didn't even consider how much time elapsed. A great display piece and the most fun I've had after building many kits. Just take your time and identify all parts carefully before placing and you should be fine.

The Harley Davidson Fatboy is one of the most iconic of the modern Harley models. If you have ever owned one or known somebody who did this is a must have kit. The build was fun and challenging enough to give you that satisfying feeling when you finish it. From 10 feet across the room it’s not readily apparent that it even is a Lego kit, that’s how perfect it looks. This Fat Boy has a chain final drive whereas the real ones have a belt, but assuming it’s displayed showing the exhaust pipes on the right hand side you don’t even see the chain. The chain turns gears that ultimately are connected to the pistons which go up and down the way they do in a real Harley. The only downside is that there was a piece missing (Lego is sending me that piece) which prevented me from finishing the gas tank on the left side, but other than that I really love having this one in my collection on the shelf.
