Our ceramic fountains are lead-safe and meet the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Commission and California Prop 65 standards for lead content. **Q: Looking for a replacement rubber piece that keeps the water out of the hole for the cord. Hoping either the manufacturer will respond or someone knows** A: Thank you for your question! Replacement cord caps can be purchased in accessory kit PAC00-13908. This kit is not currently for sale on Amazon. **Q: How often do you need to change the filters?** A: I don’t use the charcoal filters because they are very expensive and I use water that is already filtered. The other filter: it depends on how often you change your water. I do so daily for the sake of the cats. Every now and then I take it out, rinse it off and clean debris off and then return it.
