This is only way I can eat since I had gallbladder removed

For the last 4 years or so, I have been having pains in my lower stomach and intestine area. Most days it would start in the late morning to early afternoon and would last through the evening. Some days just a dull ache or a feeling of bloating, other days it would be even worse and sometimes even a sharp burst of pain. And I always had gas, lots of it. It always felt like I had to have a bowel movement, but if I did that would only ease the pain for a few minutes. After seeing a gastroenterologist and having multiple tests done (including an MRI) and being told that there was nothing wrong with me, I then changed my diet and am eating healthier then I ever have ( I am 46 and in good shape). But even that didn't help. So then I did some reading and ended up buying these enzymes. I have been taking one of these at every meal now for going on 2 months (along with a probiotic first thing in the morning). The bloated feeling and pains are 95% gone and I can actually go out to eat now without the fear of intense pains and discomfort. And my gas problem has also decreased by 10 fold. These seem to work for me. And by the way, this is the first review that I have ever written and I hope this helps someone else out there with the same problems.

Who knew gallbladders could wreak such havoc!? Guess they're not a vestigial organ, like an innocuous chicken-gizzard lump inside, an anatomical joke. There's a lot of misinformation on diet with gallbladder issues. Some patients are told they can eat "anything" after the surgery. But this is complacent. Be prepared, your life will drastically change. We're just grateful to have found Source Naturals Daily Essential Enzymes , which work better than any others. Use as needed to help break down fat, protein, carbs, fiber, and milk sugar; contains (among other enzymes) protease, lipase, alpha-amylase, cellulase, and lactase. Many doctors won't even tell you about how helpful these supplements are; another person who had her gallbladder removed pointed us the right direction. My now gallbladderless person was misdiagnosed for over 6 years. Doc said abdominal and back pain was residual "shingles neuralgia." The whole time it turned out to be a chronically inflamed and very badly scarred gallbladder. This ain't rocket science. The doctor should've caught this. Along with many stones, there was a 2.5 cm stone stuck in the cystic duct. No wonder my muse felt awful for so long, had a gallbladder attack, turned bright yellow, and had to go to the ER. The only safe food (for a month) before surgery, and weeks after, was non-fat. There was a loss of almost 20 pounds. The weight had accrued with feeling unwell all the time; a chronically inflamed gallbladder is like having an infection. Diet after surgery: high quality (like Brown Cow) non-fat vanilla yogurt helped, Kefir, fiber cereal w/ skim milk; lunch is Chobani Greek nonfat yogurt (very high protein) and fruit. Dinner is rice with gentle spices and a measured amount of olive oil as tolerance increases, plus high quality canned tuna, chicken, or fish. Snacks = bananas, apples, nonfat rice cakes. No more coffee, only non-caffeinated tea, limited alcohol consumption, careful control of fats. A sugar-free fiber supplement such as Metamucil is also helpful. Another 20 pounds lost, but when there's a little more fat in meals, we're grateful for the help of these digestive enzymes by Source Naturals. They make all the difference. Good luck!
