Good value/upgrade over OEM speakers
Have had 2 sets of these installed for about 10 days now. Big improvement over the paper cone OEM speakers that came with my vehicle. Tweeters are directional a few degrees in all directions with included install brackets/rings. Sounds seems well balanced for this price point and product seems decently made. Due to this products efficiency rating of 92dB (@ 1 Watt/1 Meter), high volume is easily acheived using just the built-in amps in my head unit with out distortion. Packaging: typical speaker package, all the needed hardware and accessories included to complete the install. Grills, crossover, two types of tweeter mounts (flush or surface), pre-installed wire (18 gauge wire), brackets, screws, etc. Crossover: is compact, pre-wired, and pre-labeled for mid and high drivers, comes with double stick tape/foam to mount to most surfaces. I have the crossovers stuck to the inside wall of my front and rear doors with no power window clearance issues. Just watch what direction you run your wires inside to door to prevent snags or hang ups on the window. Once I got my wires positioned to run to the mid-bass and tweeter and tested it by lowering the power windows I used tape to hold the wires and secure it in place. Mid-bass driver: sturdy construction optional grills, not much more to say about it. Tweeter: two install options, mounting ring a little tricky to snap in place, but once you get one done it's easy to duplicate the process to the others. Try not to press on the center of the tweeter grill when taking the mount rings on or off, could dent in. I personally didn't dent in the grill, and applied a reasonable amount of force with my thumbs, but in retrospect I should have pressed more to the edges. Tweeters can be pointed in any direction a few degrees if needed for accuracy. Opinions based on 24 years of do-it-yourself car electronics installation experience and 8 years of home audio/video professional sales experience. I've always had aftermarket speakers/head units in my cars/trucks - I recommend this product for quick upgrade. Installed in: 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, front and rear doors Mid-mass installed in factory door positions (using Scosche SAGMHR634B) Tweeter installed flush in door panel, cut-out made with hole saw drill attachment powered by Pioneer AVIC-F900BT - 50w x 4 max

Not bad for the money
Not bad for the money. Dropped one 6x9 and broke the cone. Super glued it bak together. The speakers sound ok with my cheap head unit. So I added a Rockville RVB12.1A 12" 500 W sub and BAMM! Now my boat rocks. Super system for under $200 and if it gets stolen or damaged I can actually afford to replace it.

SSL GS369 GS Series 6" x 9" 3-Way Speaker, 400W
I think these are very decent speakers for the price. I bought them to replace the old blown speakers in the doors of my pickup. I really didn't want to spend a lot for speakers and just wanted something that would last and sound decent enough to hear over road noise and the drone from the oversized tires I have on my truck. These SSL speakers with their 50Hz to 20KHz range seem to fit the bill. Installation was pretty straight forward and the sound quality for these speakers is quite good, especially when considering the price. The speakers themselves seem well made, with black painted frames and poly woofer cones along with butyl rubber surrounds instead of just foam. The black wire mesh grilles also seem nicely made, but I didn't need them for my installation since the speakers were mounted behind the door panels. A bag of mounting screws and two rolls of thin gauge speaker wire with factory installed push on connecters was also included. Overall, I think these speakers were a good buy and the price for them here on Amazon was also very reasonable.

Ugh.. I tried.
Purchased these to replace my factory front door speakers in 04 MINI Cooper S. One of my stock tweeters was crackling so I bought a new set of fronts. I'll be honest here.. I was a car audio/video/security specialist for almost 10 years. I have installed it all from JL and Hertz to Power Accoustic and Boss. Being that I had never hear of this brand before I decided to give them a try. I bought all new sound deadening and new mounting adaptors for the front doors so the fit was nice and the panels didn't vibrate. The woofers mount seamlessly and the tweeters are small enough to fit in the factory location with minor modification to the stock mount. The one thing that concerned me was the crossover. It was so tiny and flimsy that when I took it out of the plastic it was wrapped in the cover came off. This was fortuitous in that it revealed cheap components and poor quality wire. The wiring had black marks (oxidation) on it which in this industry is bad. Oxygen free copper should be used for this and I would expect at least a 12dB crossover. This appeared to be only 6dB. I proceeded to finish the install since there are glorious reviews and who knows.. They may be great. These seriously do not live up to the glowing reviews I read on here. The tweeter is crossed over way too high and only produces tinny noises which seem to be 10kHz or above and the woofer really doesn't have any lower frequency response to speak of. My factory 5ohm paper cone speakers sounded better. I double checked my wiring for phase and tried adjusting the stereo but it just sounds bad. In summary... Don't waste your time. Spend $10-20 more for a better set. Heck I'm returning mine and going to order Alpine Type-E components for about the same price. At least I know they will be quality.

These are.....well....average.....
I wish I could lavish praise here as others have done but I just can't get there. You are pretty much getting what you paid for here. The first pro here is the these speakers sound reasonably good, that is in my opinion about the measure of them, they sound good not great. Unlike other reviewers I found the base performance for a 6x9 at about average. I tried them in door panels and an mdf box running off a head unit amp and separate 105w/channel Focal amp which has a really clean curve. The bass is okay as are the highs. Further I think the mids are on the weak side. The second pro is pretty obvious - the price. I good paid more than this for an average pair of 6x9s in the 1980s. Economies of scale whatever - its a price for even average speakers. The first con is build quality. The tweeter/"mid" mount on one of the speakers was glued a considerable amount off-level to the remainder of the speaker chassis. I had one level and one out of level, I am guessing the level version is the correct approach. The second con may just be a personal problem, but why is there not a cutout template included in the box? It is so easy and low cost to provide one and on the opposite side an almost necessity if you need one and do not have it. As it was I rummaged through my shop and found an old blown 6x9 and stripped the trim ring off of it and it was close enough to work. Conclusion: After considering the build quality and listening to what they had to offer I did go ahead and install them in the door panels in an old Dodge D150 I have. The reason being is that if you have a noisy vehicle(which my truck is) higher fidelity speakers offer very limited returns. My thoughts are this is a well-priced average performing speaker that would be great in a vehicle with a high noise floor. If you are looking for truly musical speakers, I think you gotta invest a some more money.

Installed 97 civic
These are very nice after market speakers who wants to replace the factory speakers. Sound quality is much better than stock speakers, and fits perfectly in my car. I have been using it for about 2 weeks, so far so good. good speaker for the price.

Frustrating to install but worth if for afforadable high quality audio
Put these speakers in today and love them so far! The sound quality is a huge upgrade from the stock speakers in my 98 Saturn. That being said there are a few drawbacks to buying these speakers: 1) The installation instructions which are included are composed of two illustrated pictures showing which mounting brackets to use for the flush and suface mount options for the tweeters. Other than that it's up to you to figure out how to actually change the plastic tweeter housings between flush and surface or how to use the mounting clips the screws fit in for holding the Midwoofers in place. 2) Speaking of the mounting clips they are cheap and hard to use even once you've figured them out; as are the mounting brackets for holding the tweeters in place in a flush mount setup. 3) The output wires on the supplied crossover are pretty short, especially the tweeter wires. So I was forced to use the suppplied sticky tape to mount the crossover halfway up inside the door frame instead of being able to tuck it away at the bottom of the door. Issues 1 and 2 combined to make the installation process a much harder and longer chore than it needed to be. But even with the shortcomings in the included periperhals I still give these speakers five stars as once I finally got them installed they sounded truly amazing considering how little they cost.

SORRY -- Your money's worth, and LESS
No, you shouldn't buy these for their Bass response, they're 3.5" speakers, a speaker that size can't produce Bass. However, they are extraordinarily clear in the Midrange; I'm hearing lyrics on the radio that were just La-La-La mud before. On the negative side, Highs are a MUCH too bright. ___________________________________ Update: 11-2016, One of the 3.5" speakers has developed a buzzzz. Shouldn't be possible, since they're rated at 50 watts RMS, and my factory stock stereo only does 20 watts RMS, but - buzzzz..twang. NO real problem though, speakers have a 1 year guarantee. Hah.... Warranty says just send in invoice, defective item we can examine, and a Certified check for $30 to cover shipping, handling, and outright theft. AMAZING - a warranty that has a negative value. --- Just wanted the world to know how our friends at SoundStream operate. Think twice about buying this brand of speakers. If you decide Yes! .... sit down & think that over a 2nd, 3rd, and 17th time.
