I wanted some packaging tape in bulk. These were nicely priced. The tape sticks nicely and seems strong. Not flimsy. Easy to cut. Easy to apply. Works well. Nice amount of tape per roll. Packaging tape size. Stretches out nicely. You don't need to fight with it. Solid option. Good job Amazon Basics. I'm happy I bought these rolls.

Better quality than I expected There is definitely a “tape smell” but personally that’s not an issue for me given that the tape feels thicker/more durable than uline tape (which was previously my go to). Uline tape was coming in over $3/roll when I picked this up and the quality of the Amazon tape vs the price is great. ☑️ No issues with sticking/sealing ☑️ No issues with quality or functionality - and with the tape being a little thicker it doesn’t as easily flop over when you’re trying to tape a box which I love

I was skeptical when buying this tape, as I've used generic branded packing tape before and have regretted it. This stuff rocks, though. It's easy enough to start a new strip without tearing down the middle, and it feels secure when taping a package closed. It's a great buy for the price.

This is my go to packaging tape for my business. It’s economical, efficient, tapes well, and a sturdy. I would definitely recommend.

Holds Up Well, But Harder to Handle Than Expected I’ve used plenty of packaging tape over the years, and this one from Amazon Basics gets the job done with a solid, durable hold. Once it’s on the box, it sticks firmly and doesn’t peel up at the edges, even after some handling and stacking. It has a decent thickness that gives confidence when sealing heavier boxes, and it’s nice that it doesn’t have the overwhelming chemical odor that some cheaper rolls carry. That said, handling this tape isn’t always smooth. It tends to cling to itself, making it harder to start and apply cleanly. Without a good dispenser, it can be frustrating to pull off strips without tangling or wasting tape. The roll is generous in length, but that also makes it a bit bulky when working quickly. Bottom line: Reliable strength and good adhesion, but you’ll want a sturdy dispenser on hand to avoid the hassle of fighting with the roll.

Been using this tape since August of 2025, it is great tape. I just had to reorder tape On December 30th 2025. It great tape the width is nice for what we do. Extremely clear tape so you can still scan labels after it has been used. I would say we ship out at-least 30 package’s a week on average to give you an idea. This is with us taping basically the entire mailer boxes. Great tape, fantastic price and I will buy again! Thanks

In the middle of a big household move and needed a lot of tape. This performs well and is well paired with a tape gun. Makes taping boxes fast and efficient. Some other reviews said the tape split a lot but I have not found that to be a problem. Highly recommend.

Good quality tape but adhesive needs to be stronger. After the tape is applied to a cardboard box the tape just lifts right off the cardboard after a few minutes to a few hrs depending on the conditions. The tape is thick enough and strong enough but if it doesn't stick to the box it isn't ideal for shipping. If the adhesive is improved I will update this rating to 5 stars.

This tape is notably thinker than some packing tapes - works really well and streatches tightly if you're using a proper tape gun. I can't believe how clear this stuff is - that works for me in this application but sometimes the colored stuff might be better depending on the box. I'd buy this product again for sure and recomend it to friends. Delivery to the door is an added bonus with Prime!

Does what its supposed to do. The smell is quite strong, take them out of the plastic and let them air our somewhere.
