Great product. Wear a mask!!
Took forever for the proper time to do this so been awhile since purchase. I used this outside, very easy to apply, however, the smell will get to you very quickly. Super strong odor. Works beautifully so can overcome that issue. Have not done the second coat yet as waiting for an additional shelf to add and will also need this so will wait but the finish is nice and soft . Would definitely use on other projects.

Looks great, easy to use, gentle smell, dries quickly
Dries quickly. Easy to apply. Unexpectedly pleasant scent. I get headaches from strong chemical smells but I had no issue with this one at all. This one kind of smelled like fruit candy, so watch small kids around it. I won’t know how effective it is until the wood has been subjected to weather (sun and rain) for a few months, but I’ll try to remember to update here once I know how it goes. I know what these beds look like with no weather protectant, so I should have a good gauge. Picture is the before and after of applying the sealant to the wood pieces for my raised garden bed. This is just the sealant, and no added colors. I think it makes the wood look richer and somehow more expensive. 😆 Quick notes: gloves and glasses are a good idea (protect your skin and eyes from splatters), get a foam applicator for quick and smooth application, I used a paint tray to pour it in while I was working with it. If you don’t have a way to air dry the wood pieces off the ground, remember it will take twice as long as you think it will because you have to wait for at least one side to fully dry before you can seal the bottom side (the part resting on the ground).

Safe for plants and garden my flowers like it. Works works works. worth the smell
The instructions were clear and the product was easy to apply. It even water proofed the water color kids paint I used to do the stencil design and it has been pouring rain for days Yes it does have a strong smell like wine or something, but it smells way better than other brands. I was able to do a whole garden box bed and 4 other pieces of wood. I will see how it holds up through the season. You can mix a stain color with it and it goes on smooth. Don't forget to follow the instructions and wipe it after application or it will be sticky I would purchase again. update it lasted through winter and is still looking great.

Good, but room for improvement.
I bought a quart of this stuff to seal a trio of new medium-large cedar planter boxes (I'm not planting directly in them, but growing large plants within grow pots, so it's not quite as exposed to moisture as a raised bed would be). It's too soon to tell how well it holds up to the elements, but overall the application was smooth and the finish came out quite nice. I didn't add any tint, so it really just highlights the grain of the wood a bit and gives it a more polished look. I did two coats and ended up with a few ounces of the product left over. Application was easy. If you've ever used Rubio Monocoat it's pretty similar to that. I wiped up the excess after each coat, as directed, and didn't have any stickiness once it was dry. I took off one star for a couple of reasons. 1. The scent. Other folks had mentioned in their reviews that it's got a very strong smell. What I didn't realize is that the smell is, almost certainly, an additive. It's vaguely tropical, but also smells very artificial, like a gas station piña colada air freshener. I wouldn't call it offensive, exactly, but I really wish it wasn't in there. I'm guessing the main ingredient of this product is linseed oil or another drying oil, and I find their natural odors much more appealing than this. It's cloying, and a tiny bit of it on clothing will stink up a room. The boxes are now outside in the fresh air, a few days later, and they still stink like the bargain bin of a Bath and Body Works. 2. There's a lot of marketing copy hyping this product, but none of it seems to include a meaningful description of the actual ingredients. Maybe there's an SDS somewhere, but I dislike that the manufacturer seems to be hiding the ball as to what's in it. Different finishes work differently, as anyone who's ever finished wood knows, and having more info prior to application would be a sign of respect for the customer, in my opinion. It'd also better tell me if what I'm buying is actually a good deal. Despite the above, I took a chance on this stuff because it seemed well reviewed, was competitively priced, and touted as low VOC nontoxic. I'm happy with the results, but I can't say I'd be terribly inspired to buy it again unless the manufacturer addressed the above concerns.

Great Product for my Planter
I used this on a large chicken box which has been turned into a planter, the largest side is 4'. I bought the medium size bottle but could have just gotten the smallest one. It's very watery and was easy to use. I used a good Purdy paint brush and it may not be good for much now but it made the process very smooth with no splashes getting on me that I could see. The smell is intense but it's a sweet wine smell and it didn't make me feel sick and most chemical smells make me sick pretty quick. Your supposed to wipe the wood after applying to get rid of a stickly feeling but I didn't feel like it and saw other reviews that said they didn't think it was needed so I skipped that step. I waited several hours and touched it in a couple of places and it's not sticky at all. I used a large empty pumpkin puree can and it washed out fine. I also left quite a mess on a plastic table outside for several hours and had no problem wiping it off and it didn't hurt the plastic. The only thing I may not be able to use (except for future wood protecting projects) is the paint brush, but it was worth it to me to have a no mess application and not have bristles coming out everywhere.

I use this for anything wood outdoors in my yard. Yes garden boxes, but also my cedar deck, my address sign. Anything I want to remain beautiful even through harsh Canadian winters. I live in a freeze-and thaw climate where it can get as cold as -40C (which is the same F) but then the chinook winds blow in from the mountains and it will go above zero. Garden Box Armor protects even in these conditions. Furthermore, it is food safe and non-toxic, and much easier to work with than stain. You do not need to keep a wet edge. It seals in the beauty of the wood itself. And, weirdly, it smells like Jolly Ranchers for some reason? I couldn't put my finger on the smell but my 6 year old figured it out. Jolly Ranchers. It is expensive, yes. But it has lasted far longer than stain polyurethane sealants would so I prefer to think of it as having a high up-front cost, because you definitely save money in the long run. Don't believe me? Just look at my deck.

Used this on my cedar planters and it brought out such a nice rich golden color. Had a very strong citrus smell, half pleasant and half overwhelming. My the smell lingered in my garage for a few days after sealing and curing, but wasn't too bad. No headaches or unpleasantness while sealing. I looked high and low to find a food safe wood sealer, and this product kept turning up. Expensive, but I'm very happy with the immediate results. I'm hopeful the wood is protected for a long time.

I built a raised garden bed and thought I would have to buy 2 of these to seal the wood. I ended up putting 2 coats on and still had some left over. I can't wait to see how the garden bed will look next year. I'm not one to paint or stain every 3 or 4 years, I'm hoping it will last the 8 to 10 years it says.
