Shady Patch

This stuff is incredible in an area receiving little to no sun. Simply raked the ground and scattered it. Had sprouts in 3 days and near full coverage in 8 days. I even had it growing where I accidentally spilled some seed on the trail. Had deer already grazing on it while it was trying to grow with several repeat customers. It finally started to droop after two weeks of high heat with zero rain. Very hardy. Planted in mid July in South Central Mo. check their website for planting recommendations for your zone.

I’ve tried tons of different no plow mixes and this is the best ratio of seed and durability to drought that I’ve seen. It planted easy and wasn’t long after that first rain it started popping up and deer started to mow it down. Definitely a great addition to your honey hole.

This grew well for me but it’s nothing special, just clover. Cheaper to go to a garden center and buy a bag of clover seed for less money. I planted both in same area and both grew with no difference.

Grew really well in my small shady plot

My mom has two chickens in the backyard after our landlord decided that they can no longer graze on the grass which they helped fertilize, we had to pin them up inside of a small garden. They were so depressed one even stopped laying eggs. I ordered this seed to help make them their own little grazing space. The bag is nice and big and will last for a long time for the small area. My mom threw the seeds out on a patch of garden and waters it every night. 3 days later it started to sprout it has been growing vigorously since then :) it is in a very shady spot just like the name suggests and the chickens are so happy with it. it's like they have their own little lawn within the pen. This isn't just for hunters it can be really great for backyard chickens with a small amount of space as well. :) The chickens especially love the clover in it and eat that up right away but the rye is sprouting just like beautiful grass and they like that too. it has improved their quality of life very much in the last few days.

Got some initial growth in places but didn’t last long. Prepped the ground ok but didn’t do any soil testing so possibly the problem. Was a cheap chance I took to just see if it would grow.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works awesome! As described throw an grow i blew the leafs of the area an raked the soil, put down the seed an within 7 days it was growing in nice!
