Great little gameboy-like console. Our son has really enjoyed. There are probably too many games on here, which creates a bit of a hassle scrolling through to find the ones we like, but also offers a good variety for kids with different interest. The graphics are not what current consoles offer, but plenty good to enable a fun game play. It also provides a bit of nostalgia for me (Super Mario anyone?). Not fancy, but great for the price. Makes a great birthday gift too. Highly recommend.

We bought this as a compromise to allow our kid to have a mobile gaming machine but not open internet access or phone issues. Seems like playing games is 90% the reason most kids want a phone. This was a good compromise and works as you would expect. Some games are completely in Chinese. However, since they are simple retro style, you can figure it out. It has no save feature, so that limits obsession with a single game and leads you to explore the other games. Also with the retro style, the games don't hold your hand. You miss a jump, you die, game over start from scratch. Know what you're getting, it is not a Switch, Playstation or Iphone. Don't expect much, it is simple and easy time waster that doesn't expose your kid to the internet or other phone related issues.

After a while of using it, while I was playing the screen suddenly turned a lot more whiter and some graphics became hard to see. Some games are practically unusable since I cannot see what I'm doing. I'm going to be ordering a new device since I believe the one I received just has a mishap. The reviews on this product are true, and it lives up to its reputation. It is a very good device, and works great for small hands too. it's a bit thicker than the picture describes but that doesn't matter to me. It's also very light weight which I like. It's a very cute, basic device, and I shouldn't expect any more for its cheap price. Just watch out for screen problems, such as mine becoming brighter and colorless. The device holds many games, ones I will list are: Super Mario, Pacman, Tetris 2, and Tank. There's other versions of Mario too like Dr. Mario and Mario Bros.

I bought this for my grandchild and put the battery in it and it scrolled down stop scrolling then tried to change it over turn lights green and I thought oh it needs to be charged charged up boom now it doesn't work at all so I have a dark thing thank God for Andrew at Amazon he tried to help me get it and he said look this thing can't be refunded but we're going to help you so I give kudos for the the honesty and good customer service from Amazon and the man name Andrew thank you so very much. To anybody else do not buy this Chinese piece of garbage. You will be sorry and very unhappy .. update I didn't get refunded,, the guy at Amazon I think his name was Andrew he promised me oh yeah I'll give you a refund no way snowball chance in hell I didn't get one so I was totally lied to the biggest piece of garbage you've ever seen do not touch this thing with that 10-ft pole I thought I could get away cheap by buying a $20 handheld game but wrong mistake it is garbage any of these little bitty electronic games are garbage you do better to buy name brand number two don't buy it from Amazon, one thing I can't stand is somebody fibbing or lying I was just a damn lie..

Edit: I did really like this at 1st, as it was for my daughter originally, but that didn't last as long as I thought it would. She would mess around w/ it for about 10 mins.(Usually only after I mentioned it tho) & then it was back to something else. I know that's not all on the device b/c there's just tons of newer & newer stuff for kids these days to play & try. Anyways, my gripe was that I took really good care of it, & when my niece & nephew came this past summer from California, I brought it to where they were staying & it slipped out of his hand onto the table he was sitting at. No more than a foot drop & that was it for it for this little gaming device, it had played it's last game, lol. I know you get what you pay for & all of that, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks & it's not so much the money, but more so I just felt like wow I've bought dollar store items that I haven't kept in a case & roughed up way more that could take a beating, & definitely a 1 foot drop w/ ease. All in all, still pretty neat, but honestly more so for me probably b/c took me back to the game boy days, & I mean you can get your kid an Amazon tablet on sale for $15-20 more dollars & they can pick & download whatever game they want w/ the graphics that are more there speed, & when they're done playing those games they can uninstall & do it all over again, & we have a few of those that def. have takin' a beating & still keep on truckin'.. We received the item with fast shipping, and was pleasantly surprised that everything worked very well, started right up out of the box w/ more than enough battery to play for quite a while off the bat, but still wanted to charge it fully first, out of habit I guess. I may have even been a little more thrilled than my kid at first to see all the games promised in the description & especially love the good ol' classics like Super Mario Bros., Contra, Etc.. Now it's been some time since my Gameboy days, but if they had this handheld gamer back then w/ all the games built in as soon as you switch it on, then I would've been sold & I know mine & most parents would have been as well just for the simple fact that you don't have to run out to some electronics store to buy a single game cartridge that was more than likely to get lost, or full of crud in the backseat of the car & not work. Also the fact that it comes with a controller & can be hooked up to the TV so you can play 2 player games is just another bonus from this company! All in all, for the price, quality, games,, etc.. I would definitely give it 2👍thumbs up👍, and easily recommend to anyone looking for an all around great handheld gaming system! Thanks a lot & best wishes!

This game console is a great gift for kids especially on long road trips. It has 400 games to play the kiddos can never be bored. The volume control is a small dial in the side which can completely mute the sounds it Can be very loud. But dont let that deter you from buying. Come with a separate controller for two play on a tv monitor. Battery life can last a couple of day depending on how much it is used. If used constantly the battery can last a few hours. Take about 2 hours to completely charge. Can be used while charging too. Very fun game console and a must buy!

One other gmaes didn't even have the place to charge. There was the whole, but nothing to connect it to.
