I was worried this was going to be piece of crap for the price, but this is an unpretentious little sandwich maker that does exactly what it is designed to do. You plug it in and it heats up in about 2 minutes. A light comes on letting you know when to put sandwich in. I brush the exterior side of two slices of bread with butter and fill the interior with cheese and/or meats, place it in the maker and close the lid, and it cooks perfectly in three minutes. You do have to set a timer, since it does not have one, and there is no on and off button, but other than that it is perfect for the price. After it is cooled off, you simply wipe it down with a damp cloth, so it is easy to clean.

I bought this to prepare foods for my 90+ yr old parents. I don’t want them using their stove, and this little griddle works great to heat up the Costco pre-cooked bacon slices, and to grill 1/2 sandwich, etc.

This is a very small sandwich maker. Picture showed 2 sandwiches on it…but we only got one sandwich on it. Not room for 2 sandwiches a little disappointing, but not sealbreaker. I kept it as it works good. A little flimsy as it is lightweight.

It works, but I feel there are some (maybe minor) issues that could have been addressed... 1) No on/off switch. The device it turned on by plugging in and turned off by unplugging. 2) No auto-shutoff. If you have to leave to attend a crisis, the device will remain on. 3) Misleading. The description on this page: "No oil or butter needed, makes for healthier eating." Yet the operating instructions with the sandwich maker says "Smear the cooking plate with butter, margarine, or cooking fat." 4) Bread size. The photo shows two sandwiches (page description says "Make 2 sandwiches please choose the right size bread" and gives griddle surface size), but the pic is showing small bread slices. If you use 'standard' size bread you will have two squish them in for a very snug fit (the grill is about one inch short of fitting two standard size bread slices). 5) Uneven heating. The heating cooks the side closer to the opening/handle slightly more than the rest (not a big deal but if you want a 'perfectly grilled' sandwich, you will need to turn the sandwich mid-cooking). The device is simple and easy to use, and it works well making a sandwich. I got it specifically to make a single grilled cheese sandwich at a time and it does that well enough.

I really feel satisfied with the purchase what I like most about this product is its price and its quality heats quite well it leaves my sandwich well toasted as I like it

Initial testing was interesting. It actually works, but you'll need to flip your grilled cheese to stay true. Meaning the top upper area doesn't get as hot so flip it to complete the grilling. But it should be good for what I need it for.. traveling
