Great product gets deep into the carpet and picks up everything. So light weight and a long cord which helps to get every room done.

Easy to use , works well .
Nicely packed, great vac..consumes dust and hair well, easy to operate and easy to manage. Rotates around furniture easily. Has a light but robust feel when using it. Comes with spare belt and easy to follow instructions. Highly recommend for small to medium rugs and carpets. The extra hose is OK for steps and corners.

Light and powerful
This vacuum replaced a 1800watt Tesco model. My wife wanted the new one to be lighter, which influenced my decision. Overall I'm very pleased with it so far. Uses 800watts, but the suction is significantly superior. It is noticably both lighter and quieter than the predecessor, and the upright handle flexes side to side as well as for & aft, making cleaning around furniture easier. Easy to empty and clean. There are two filters in the top of the cyclone tube, a hard corrugated filter which is washed clean monthly and a circular foam insert. This certainly traps fine particles and needs knocking clean at each emptying, as well as monthly wash. I hope I can buy more of these, as they will fray fairly quickly. The hose is not very long. but easy to use. A twin ended crevice / brush tool was provided, which is unremarkable. Overall it is light, powerful and easy to use, so pleased to recommend. Correction: It has been pointed out that the Athena 2 is a 400w cleaner, which from my perspective makes it's cleaning power all the more impressive. Have yet to source more circular foam filter inserts, but I remain very satisfied with this vacuum cleaner.

Works well
Seemed like a good vacuum cleaner but in just under a year of normal use, the motor burnt out. I received a replacement free of charge as it was still under guarantee. So far, so good. By the way, I was given the option of returning the faulty vacuum by EVRI courier but no-one came to collect it in 10 days of waiting. Amazon customer service advised me that I should keep it, donate it or dispose of it myself as the 'collection window' had passed. I was offered a false service and now have to make my own arrangements for someone to come and collect it.
