## Description

The Heavy Duty Grover Rocket Stove is an outdoor cooking stove that you use very little wood to cook a whole meal with. This is the most heavy duty rocket stove that you can get on the market today. It is made of mostly 11 gauge cold rolled steel. It weighs around 17 lb. and is built like a rock. Great for camping, hunting, fishing, preparedness, recreational use, or even your favorite dish in your own back yard.

Review: Great little wood stove! - So far I've cooked several meals and boiled water on this stove, and works very well. The construction is heavy-duty (plate steel throughout) and the welds are all of good quality. The four steel tabs on top make an excellent platform for a wide range of pans and pots. For smaller containers the aluminum accessory plate works well, although heat transfer is definitely better when the cooking vessel is directly in contact with flames and hot gases from the fire. My 12" cast iron (Lodge brand) skillet heats up in no time when the rocket stove is at a full burn! The stove is surprisingly compact, and although perhaps a little heavy and bulky for back-country pack trips, it works very well for car-camping trips. The steel-rod stand does an excellent job insulating the hot stove from any surface you place it on, and it's also quite stable -- I can set it upright in the bed of my pickup truck and not worry about it falling over when I brake or turn. Likewise, the steel-rod handle on the back side is far enough away from the body of the stove that it is comfortable to grip even when in full-burn operation. Suffice to say, this is how I'm going to cook meals on camping trips from now on! It makes so much sense to cook meals and heat water using dry twigs you can find anywhere in the wilderness, or using a mere handful of dry wood you can bring with you for the trip. I'm going to retire my MSR Whisperlite white gas stove from general camping use, and use it for backpacking trips only . . .
Review: GREAT ITEM - this thing is a BEAST - all it was held out to be and more - talk about well built, this is it. we got it for back up cooking and canning here at the house as well as camping trips. it will get 1/2 gal water to rolling boil in just under 8 min - burns very efficiently with very little smoke at the start and negligible ash to dump at the end. the outside will be warm (as opposed to HOT) to the touch. be sure to watch the video - it's easy to lite and at first FEED IT FROM THE TOP - then from the front after it gets going - and it will be roaring quickly. if you're prepping, unless you have a perpetual supply of natural gas or propane to cook with you should consider this or its next of kin a NECESSARY ITEM. IMHO this is your best ticket to a hot meal

### ⭐⭐ My Honest Review of this "Rocket" Stove
*by N***R on June 27, 2014*

The cons: This is not a rocket stove (it's just a stove). This produces plenty of ash This unit is small which ensures non-stop feeding of fire so have the forest at hand. The pros: Yes, this stove is comprised of quality materials and workmanship concerning the welding. Yes, Using this product is a means to cook with a controlled fire Yes, the seller will answer the phone when you call P.S. It isn't shown in this video but, yes I tried loading the wood laterally through the feed chamber but lots of luck on keeping that method going (you kind of need 4 hands to keep the ash pit clear so that more wood can go it to ....ugghhh...anyway we also tried charcoal and cardboard and wood chips and wood and boo~! I'll sell anybody mine for $40.00 (you pay shipping). Now here's what someone COULD do to convert this into a true rocket stove that will consume all the smoke: Encase the entire stove with a sheet of metal about 1" - 3" air space, cut in your ash dump and feed chamber. Now for the magic, cut in a flue LOWER on the side or backside than the feed chamber .... if you haven't figured out the effect of invariable re-burning of wood smoke (and the incredible heat from less feeding of fuel) then you should find my other videos kind of helpful (I have two of them somewhere on the net; the first of two videos show the plans and parts laid out on a table (using common crap like food cans) and it's narrated by me... and then the other video out there is with the unit fired up inside of a building WITH NO SMOKE WHATSOEVER AND IT BOILED WATER!!! You'll find the video narration more excited as it performed outstandingly more than what was expected. Basically heat rises (it ordinarily would quickly find a flue so that it could keep rising, right? Well by placing the flue lower than the feed chamber allows for the hot flame coming up to recirculate violently till some of the reburning process becomes cooler air and is pushed down to the lower flue. So why don't I convert this one that I paid over a hundred dollars for? I'm old and cranky now...this crap happens when you least expect it, at this stage in my life it's all a numbers game now. All a seller has to do to make the reviews go away nowadays is to delete the listing and repost.
