MAROMA Tonka Vetiver Perfume, 10 ML

This is a natural, somewhat sweet, scent. It is stronger then I expected. My husband is very pleased with it - 5 stars from him. In terms of my concerns, I would give it at least 4 stars. I am mildly sensitive to scents, many of them causing a headache when I smell them. My husband likes to use a fragrance but finding one that didn't bother me was difficult. I purchased two brands that had many reviews from people who said that the scent didn't bother them in hopes that the same would apply to me. I purchased roller applicators that he could use to roll this on so that the spray wasn't in the house. That has helped immensely. The other day we were in the car and the scent was strong. I thought it was the other brand because it has a sprayer, but he said it was this one. It surprised me that just rolling on a bit of this could fill up a car with its scent! I did not get a headache - I just didn't want to smell it because I prefer no scent. It was nice not to have a reaction. The scent seems to last reasonably well - I can smell it lightly on his dress shirts when I do laundry.

Smells like an old lady fragrance. Like a cheap old lady perfume.

I have had three different Maroma fragrances. I like the very small form factor of the oil based cologne, and of the three frangrances (Tonka & Vetiver, Citrus & Olibanum, and Lavender and Cedar), this one is probably my favorite. Istarted with the Olibanum and Citrus one first and quite liked that, but once I got the Tonka & Vetiver, then found that the O&C one had a whiff of patchouli in it which I hadn't noticed before. It's subtle, but something I'm not a fan of. I also recently got the Lavender & Cedar fragrance and like that one quite a lot, but would but it in the middle, with the Tonka & Vetiver as my favorite. The only thing I could think that they could improve about this product would be the addition of some kind of applicator in the lid. You either have to press it to your skin, tip the bottle up and then spread it around with your fingertip, or press your finger to the end of the bottle and spread it onto your skin. Either method leaves you with strongly scented oil on your finger, which you need to wash off, not difficult, but mildly annoying, and a waste of the fragrance itself. Given the very small amount of fragrance in the bottle, this probably adds up. Overall, I really like the product range, the very different approach they have to cologne, and will be interested to see what other fragrances they come up.

All I ever wore was frederic malle, since I've been using your vetiver not have I only saved a few bucks, I've gotten many compliments. And lasts all day. Thank you for your wonderful product.. Rich

I bought this to try the combination of the base scents tonka and vetiver, and I really like it. This formulation is very durable, I find that it lasts a very long time. (I recognize this combo as part of other products that I have. nice.) But I HATE the bottle and cap. I would prefer a glass stick attached to the cap to swipe a bit of the product on my body, but the real problem is the cap seems to be threaded slightly different from the bottle. This means it's quite difficult to tighten down to seal - and then it's a pain to open it for use. I am looking for another container. LOVE the scent and the long lasting oil carrier.

Disappointed . About five years ago, I contacted my MaRoma satellite office in Florida and asked them to send me their oils directly. I paid through the nose with FedEx because I liked it so much I ordered a new orange patchouli and a tonka Vetiver I still have the opium from the office directly they shipped it from India. I’m sorry to tell you either they sold the company or they let these oils just sit and lose all integrity. You’re basically can’t smell anything. It’s a complete waste of money. I have been buying essential oil since I was a kid and that’s over 40 years. I know my sense. The old label that was white was the good ones, but the new label that’s green and silver do not buy it because it doesn’t smell like anything actually my heart is broken Because the old sense smelled so great. It’s a waste of money. I don’t think I’m even gonna take the time to bring it back I’m just so upset.

Very subtle smell. Get compliments when I wear it. Love the smell and its oil base.

This “concentrated” perfume oil doesn’t have any holding power. I placed it on my wrist and tested it for the next few hours. After three hours, the scent was completely gone. I would return it, but it is nonrefundable.
